This speedglas head band fit my speedglas 9002x helmet great! It's nice to have my welding helmet stay up and not fold down on me when I'm working with it up. Fits good, makes my helmet feel new again!

Slightly better than the thermold, nicer knobs and hardware, and a decent sweatband, worth the extra few bucks? Yeah, if you appreciate a more comfortable experience, and not have the helmet drop down unexpectedly, get the 3M model, instead of the generic thermold.

I have the older Speedglas welding helmet and could not afford to upgrade to the newer one. 3M is slowly phasing out the replacement parts for the 9000 series welding helmets. I needed the replacement thumbscrews but couldn't find any. I tried replacing the entire headband assembly with the newer Speedglas headband but it will NOT fit. Amazon has great return service.Luckily I found this replacement on Amazon. I plan on buying another headband to keep as a spare.

Don't order it. It is made by 3M for Radnor total piece of garbage don't buy. The part # 04-0650-00/37140(AAD) is the 3M part they say they are sell and on package it is a different part # so bait and switch on top it.

When I got it the package was open and some of the parts were missing but I was able to use some old parts from my old head band and made it work

Replace a broken headgear. Helmet is usable again allowing it to be passed onto a new person in the welding field.
