Lake Pigment and Mordant
This is my go-to alum for making lake pigments out of natural dyes, I have also used it some for mordanting some fabric and it works great for that too! If you want to turn your plant (or cochineal) dyes into pigments to later be turned into paints then this alum is a great choice. I find it makes a really strong pigment and also doesn't cause pigment crystallization as easily as some others do, I rarely have to do a pigment rinse.

Clears water in recirculating system for extracting gold from sand.Makes it easy to see patterns in a blue bowl or miller table.

I was so pleased to find a more economical choice. If you buy this off the spice aisle in the grocery store it puts a real dent in your budget. I do a lot of pickling and I was so glad to find this!

It was very bitter
I am new at using the product so it could have been me but it was very bitter I will have to better learn the measurements when making my pickled flavor Skittles
