Well made.
Saw Julia Child use this on one of her early shows. Very sturdy. Good for mashing bananas, etc.

I love this fork!
Very strong and quite effective at mashing stiff ingredients, such as cream cheese, potatoes, etc. The angle of the tines is just right, and the handle is short but strong. Julia Child used something similar (made by Foley) which seems to have been discontinued. I think this must be as close to that Foley Fork as there is nowadays. I'm so glad I got it!

Every kitchen needs this
One of the best and versatile kitchen gadgets, green as in no electricity needed and used by generations in my family. Just bought for my daughter. Had given one to my son years ago and she said "where's mine?". I thought she already had one.

Sustainable Elegance: RSVP International Endurance Kitchen Cake Tester
Cake testers are simple tools—essentially steel wire with a handle—yet this stainless steel version from RSVP proves more practical than disposable alternatives. The 18/8 stainless steel construction feels substantial enough to avoid bending while remaining thin enough for accurate testing. The flat handle provides adequate grip and includes clear labeling—useful in drawers filled with similar implements. Unlike wooden skewers or toothpicks that splinter or break, this cleans easily and stores without taking significant space. Function is straightforward: insert into baked goods, withdraw, assess. If the tester emerges clean, the cake is done. The stainless steel doesn’t retain moisture or odors like wood, and wipes clean immediately after use. While marketed as dishwasher safe, hand washing takes seconds.

The best potato masher!
This did a beautiful job mashing potatoes, getting them light and fluffy without getting gluey. Worked great on avocados, too. My only gripe, and why 4 stars, is that it seems cheaply made, and I don't know how long it will last. The price is low enough to make it worth it, but i wish it seemed more solid.

A must have!
This is similar to the Foley Food Fork used by my mother and grandmother although a little lighter in weight. It is excellent for basically all cooking and baking uses--mixing batter, stirring sauces, just about anything.... I honestly don't know how to cook without this and have several. Sturdy, dishwasher safe, so useful.

A jack of all trades and a master of one: It stirs a pot better than anything else!
I'm a bit of a kitchen utensil fetishist. I'm the guy who might invite you over to look at my treasured collection of beautiful soup spoons. Seriously! As you can imagine, I have a slightly crowded kitchen utensil drawer. Not too bad, compact but of the best. The Fantastic Fork earns a prime, easy-to-reach place at the front of that utensil drawer. It's just so useful! Now, of course most of the things it does could be done well by other utensils, a spoon, fork, spaghetti server, spatual, etc. But The Fantastic Fork is just a great combination of utilities and does many of these functionalities as well or better than anything else. As a general tool, the Fantastic Fork is great at something like making a simple cake mix. One gadget rules them all, it beats the eggs, sturrs the batter, even gets most of the batter of the bowl into the pan. There is one function the Fantastic Fork does better than anything else, actually, and surprisingly. It stirs a big pot of steel-cut oatmeal, pea soup, or chocolate pudding exceptionally well. You see, it scrapes the pot bottom, being flat, and it gets to the corners, where the bottom meets the sides, being angular. I've finally conquered that ring of semi-burnt food around the corners of the pot after the cooking that's so hard to scrub out! The Fantastic Fork has a history, as my research tells me. It's progenitor was called a Foley Fork, made by a Midwestern American company and no longer in production. No less a culinary great than Julia Childs apparently sung the praises of her Foley Fork. Some friends just invited me to a cookout at their house. I'll bring a little present, and I just now ordered a second Fantastic Fork that I'm going to include in that gift. A great find! I'm evangelical about this one!

Better than a spatula!
What can you say? It’s a large fork used to mix stuff. Works great and I find it more useful than a spatula.
