Q: For lap swimmers, using only this cap without a silocone/latex over it, does it stay on even when doing turns/flips?

It works for me. I do flips and I have shoulder length hair, and it stays in place, I mean-under the cap.

Not sure about the cap being used as a substitute for sunscreen. I personally us a 50 SPF sunscreen because my skin is very fair. You might try the sunscreen under this cap because it's fabric.

Perhaps I have a small head-this hat fits me fine. I have another cap made of a rubbery fabric-it fits but also gives me a headache .
