Next time you are at a camera store, ask regarding collimation... "Three-Axis or Conditional?" If you get a blank stare, recommend Bill's Book, an essential requirement for and serious hobbyist or full-service vendor.

If you tweak binoculars, you'll want this book. It is a no-nonsense, high SNR, exposition on binocular collimation that explodes the myths promulgated by ultracrepidarian internet experts and sets you on the path to being able to achieve full collimation by making a simplified Mk5-type collimator.

The author seems to know his stuff but spends way too much time telling us that we can't believe what we read on the internet and not nearly enough pages about actually adjusting binoculars. Plus much is left out, maybe because it is second nature for the author, so that descriptions are confusing and incomplete.This book would have benefited from an objective editor.

While small, this book is very informative and well written. Worth the purchase and read, for anyone looking to learn about binoculars.

Il libro è utile in quanto, dopo un lunghissimo e noioso preambolo autobiografico in american-english, dà utili informazioni teniche e di taglio pratico sulla collimazione dei binocoli, che vengono trattate su Internet in modo errato e frammentario. Detto questo, ho letto commenti delusi di lettori: la verità è che senza un'attrezzatura professionale la collimazione REALE ( e non limitata al proprio caso personale) del binocolo, tale per cui lo stesso sia utilizzabile pienamente anche da un'altra persona, ve la potete anche scordare. Non ci sono segreti rivelati dalla lettura di questo libro.

I don't write reviews very often on Amazon, but unfortunately this book has prompted a review.Half the book seems to be aimed at how poor the internet is with respect to information on Binocular Collimation, which I certainly did not need to have a sermon on.What I needed was a concise description regarding how, as an amateur I could Collimate my Binoculars.The book does not give any where near sufficient information and detail regarding the topic, and in my opinion a waste of time reading it, and waste of money buying it.

Utter crap book pictures look like taken off a newspaper very poor qualityAvoid as you will need to be a master craftsman to construct a collimation block And be a master technician to follow the instructions
