Health Sciences Literature Review Made Easy: The Matrix Method

This book was super helpful in terms of laying out things you may already do into one cohesive system. Most of the individual pieces are already haphazardly part of my system, but this lays them out as a unified whole with minor additions. I will be putting it into practice from now on.

This book should be given to every student in social science research it is foundational. I am sure the new one will be even better. I have been a PhD student for the last 3 years and now that I'm focusing more on my research proposal for my dissertation I found this I should have had it in my first year of classes.

If you need to buy this book for a lit review, read it!!! It will save you a lot of grief and time. This is a easy book to assist you with a literature review. It is worth the money. Keep tabs in it to help you.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this book because of the cost, but it is worth every penny! Very detailed and informative; a must have!

I'm a healthcare scientist who is about to start a series of projects that will require literature reviews, so I'd thought I should brush up, my skills.This book lays out a method for conducting a systematic scientific literature review in a straightforward style. The explanation is both readable (I quite happily read the book through from cover to cover first) and well enough organised to act as a quick reference while you are actually trying to do a review.The book then goes beyond the first review, with chapters on creating a library of your literature reviews, a matrix indexing system and advice on updating a previous review.Having a concise and clear guide to this organised and methodical approach gave me confidence in what I was doing and was a tremendous help (and still is).
