UPDATE: I regret that I posted the 1 star review below a bit too hastily. I was about to throw the clock away when I realized the "fresh" battery I had installed only a week earlier was dying and that was the reason for the small grinding noise and seconds hand skipping. A fresh battery fixed the issue. I still love the clock. It's silent, keeps perfect time, and is a nice design. I'm relieved that it was only the battery and very glad that I was allowed to revise my review. Don't let the low cost stop you from buying it.OLD POST: The seconds hand started slipping after only 6 months. It makes a small grinding noise for a moment when it slips and does not keep the correct time any longer. When it was new, it kept perfect time and was silent. I just expected the clock to last years, not months. Another unfortunate example of, you get what you pay for. Don't waste your time or money on this one. Keep searching. I'm off to find a replacement.

I love analog clocks but the ticking was driving me insane. This clock is not only soundless, it’s gorgeous. I got the green and I couldn’t be happier. Also the clock face looks really nice!!!

Pros: The numbers and hands are easy to read. The hands move smoothly. The 10" diameter is a good size for my small kitchen. Price is affordable. Only requires one AA battery, (which had to be PUSHED into place).Cons: Disappointed in the frame color, which was listed as "yellow." The color of the clock I received is actually lemon. On my monitor it appeared golden sunshine yellow, which is what I wanted. This clock is NOT silent, but the fast ticking sound is subtle.Time will tell how long it works. (See what I did? :-)

The media could not be loaded. This clock is my new treasured decor piece. It reminds me of the clocks we had on the wall in school and when I see it in my home it brings me instant comfort. I ordered mine in the color black, size 12 inches. Virtually no assembly required. A double a battery is not included. Once you insert the battery you can use a nail in the wall to hold the clock in place. It’s timeless and affordable and works perfectly.

If you need a simple, easy to read, and completely silent clock, then this is the one. Accuracy is holding true after a few weeks, will update if/when that changes drastically

The clock I received is a nice looking, quiet, and the second hand moves smoothly. I have had it for a while, and it remains a good basic clock. However, it loses time as the battery depletes. The smooth second hand doesn't begin to struggle at some points like its non-smooth counterparts on the market: It keeps on with its smooth motion until the battery is almost completely dead. You don't notice it is slowly losing time until you... notice the time is wrong. That is my only complaint about this clock.Using good *quality* new batteries, it should run well for many months and perhaps years on that single battery; Mine ran for 16 months before I needed to change it. I would recommend putting in a fresh new battery every year or so, even if the one in it still has life left.
