Yeos Coconut Jam (Kaya Selei) in 17.6oz (500g) in can. Kaya is made of eggs, sugar and coconut milk and flavored with pandan. Malaysian and Singaporean like to apply the Kaya Jam onto toast, Kaya and usually butter or margarine are spread on two pieces of preferably toasted bread although any untoasted bread can be used and ready to serve. For those who like the soothing aroma of fragrant coconut, this spread will be sure to delight your senses! Product of Malaysia. Halal Certified حلال . History of Kaya Jam: It was the Hainanese people who came up with the idea of the Kaya Toast. Many Hainanese worked on British ships as kitchen hands. So when they settled down in Malaya, they started selling the foods which they prepared for the British. So they introduced coffee, toast and French toast to the local population. Instead of using jams and preserves, they used the local coconut jam in their toast. Thus was born Kaya Toast. Review: Malaysian Jam - This is another product I purchased in Malaysia. It is called Malaysian Jam and goes on French toast or regular toast. It also may be used on other items in place of syrup. Not too sweet but pleasant in flavor. The texture is light and it does have eggs in it. I would recommend putting it on regular toasted bread. It is delicious with toast and eggs also as a breakfast item. Will buy again! It is Malaysian street food. It is cheaper there of course but okay here too and many people eat if for breakfast in Malaysian street style sitting at a plain table in a mom and pop restaurant. Review: Over priced - Good taste but not quite the Singapore Kaya taste. Also over priced jacked up and for that reason not worth it.

Great product, steep price.
Great product! Much better pricing elsewhere. Tastes much better than other coconut jams, and at this point i have tried a lot. I have found that adding a table spoon or two of water, and stirring it really well will make it into an even more spreadable jam, one that's not quite so much like a thick custard. I typically find these cans for no more than 3.69 each at any good Asian market.

I fell in love with Kaya after eating it for the first time ...
I fell in love with Kaya after eating it for the first time in a layover at Singapore airport. I was obsessed with tracking down the jam when I returned to the US. Thank goodness for Amazon! This does not taste 100% like the one overseas but I wouldn't expect it to either. The jam tastes best with toasted bread or English muffin with a little butter. The pack of three lasted a long time. I would order again.

Dented cans
The product came quickly, but all three cans were dented. One was dented in two places. None of the cans had an expiration date. Also, folks should know that this product contains artificial coconut flavoring, and wheat.

Addictive
This coconut spread is the tropical cousin to apple butter, but much better. I can't find it at Asian markets anymore and was happy to find it at Amazon. In addition to using it as a spread for toast and croissants, it's a substitute for some of the sugar in baked desserts. It takes sweet potato and pumpkin pies to another level!

Doesn't taste like coconut and consistency is odd
I had great expectations based on reviews and product description. To be fair this is my first time trying it. Taste is super sweet. Doesn't taste like coconut. Consistency is very liquidity reminds me of a runny egg yolk. Since it's listed as jam I expected it to be less liquid.
