Timex Men's South Street Sport Watch

Although there was an initial problem, the seller responded very well. The actual watch was fine and I am happy with the outcome.

I have had this watch for a year now, I love it. The bracelet design is what makes this watch, many people have commented on it in a positive way. Coupled with a Date function, Indiglo (a must have for me) and the contemporary looks, I think this is a great watch.

I wanted a watch with numerals, day and date displayed. This is what I received BUT it is very difficult, in daylight, to see the hands against the pale background. It would have been better with a darkish face.

I ordered this watch as it looks elegant and has day and date, which I wanted. I set the time by my radio controlled clock and checked occasionally to see if it kept the time. A couple of days later it was still correct to the second, so it seemed OK. At a meeting a few days later, I mentioned the time to someone, and he corrected me. It was 6 minutes slow. And this was less than a week since putting the watch on. In case I had not pressed the crown in correctly, I updated the time to the correct value and observed more closely. After a few days it was still correct. Then the next day it was 25 minutes slow. The following morning it was over 2 hours slow! This is probably a faulty watch as I don't expect Timex to produce watches with such a poor performance. Needless to say I have returned it to Amazon.

This is a really good looking watch which is let down by the bracelet. I bought this for my father's birthday present and the strap was too long. Our local jeweller wouldn't touch it as apparently this type of strap is very difficult to shorten. If it's for someone with hairy arms it's great at ripping hairs out of their arms. Unfortunately had to return it.

If I could have given nil stars I would have. It looks ok but does not keep time. I would not recommend anyone buying this item and if the person I bought this for had retained the packaging it would be on it's way back!

First of all, the shipment was really quick, and the package was completely fine - no scratches, both boxes inside and outside were untouched. The watch itself was absolutely as described and in the picture, everything perfect! I believe that things can tell about their owner, and for this great price you get a watch that looks simple yet serious and high quality. I used to have another Timex which I lost about a year ago. Now I have one again, and with all the new devices of today, it is nice to have something which runs on a battery for a loooong time! As far as features, the numbers on the face and teh hands are easily readable, and the famous INDIGLO makes sure that happens in all conditions. The crown is designed in such a way that the notches which make it easy to turn still make it look completely smooth. The bracelet is long enough for people with larger wrists, but can be adjusted even on your own, which I did at home without special equipment in about 40 minutes after looking at some instructions. The size of the watch itself is just a bit smaller than what you find in "standard" men's watches, but still works fine for me. The face is covered with very nice mineral glass which will resist scratching from most things you may encounter at home or at work. As far as disadvantages, if you are concerned about the bracelet catching your hair, its true, but only when you take it on or off, and doesn't bother me, even though I am of a "more hairy" kind of guy. Also, in the picture, the watch piece looked somewhat thick, but now that I have it on my nand, it doesn't look that day. Otherwise, there is nothing else to mention really. It is a nice watch which will do what it's supposed to for many years if it doesn't accidentally get damaged by something serious. Overall, this design of a watch is good if you like something good-looking and practical and without unnecessary "bling", even if you are young.
