I had a necrosis fastiitis last November. Had emergency surgery and spent 5 weeks in the hospital with a wound vac on what ended up being a partial vulvectomy. Not only did I have to learn how to walk again....but I had to adjust to my an awkwardness in urinating. Enuf about that! I want everyone to know that this product ....I use the citrus flavor....2 oz taken twice daily for several months was a God send. I am still taking a shot a day just to keep the protein in my system to keep my skin in a a constant state of repair. The month prior to that I had had a Whipple procedure for pancreatic cancer. Soooo....my 'inards' have been stirred up. I cannot say enough about the results from this product. I had excellent medical care and have had outstanding followup. I now have my soninlaw, who recently was diagnosed with IPF, on this product. I feel that while IPF is not cureable, what could be a better wound healer than protein feeding compromized skin. This has all been done under doctor's care. I do not mix it. I put it in a shot glass and sling it back. Yes, it is thick and quite tart...but it works.
