This bass is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The mahogany is a deep copper colour, finished very nicely and very smooth. The neck is likewise very smooth and not too shiny, more of a satin finish which the hand moves over very easily. The metal work is black and shiny, a nice contrast to the wood. It sounds very good, the pickups can be switched between active and passive, and have a good tone. The tone and balance controls allow you to change the sound of the guitar, and there is no crackle or buzz- a very clean sound. It arrived adequately packaged, the outer box was damaged but due to layers of bubble wrap, polystyrene and cardboard, my bass was absolutely pristine and undamaged. The setup out of the box was pretty good, the neck and string height is fine and I just tuned up and was able to start playing. The machine heads are good, and no problem with tuning or staying in tune. The guitar came with a strap, a lead, allen keys and a 9v battery so that I had everything I need to play out of the box. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good bass as it is fairly lightweight and well balanced, easy to play and sounds good. Before purchase my questions about this item were answered quickly by the vendors, altogether a great package. Thank you!
