Hills Science Diet is a good quality food. It was recommended by my dogs veterinarian for weight loss. But if you order from Amazon, plan way ahead and order early. The shipping on this was slow and I had to have a back up plan

vet approved, so this is what we have used for all our dogs. Really like the lamb and rice but not always available in light.

Would buy again
The price is good for this dog food. My dog has allergies and this works really well with him. There isn't really a smell to it other then normal dog food. I live the packaging since it's resealable and stays fresh.

Great product!
The only food I buy for my (ahem, overweight) mini dachshund. She's down a pound in two months so the weight is slowly coming off. She gobbles the food right up! Will continue to purchase.

My dog doesn’t like the taste
Our Vet was the one to suggest this particular product, Hills science, diet light for our overweight, miniature dachshund. At first, she enjoyed the taste, but then she refused to eat it. I questioned the vet about this and my concern about her going hungry and he said no if she doesn’t eat it pick it up and try later if she doesn’t eat it later pick it up and give it to her the next morning. And I know it’s very difficult to fast and I don’t like when my animals don’t get their food. I understand that they won’t starve themselves to death. If there’s food they’ll eventually eat it, but I just feel better seeing her eat it, especially if I pour a spoonful of juice from whatever I’m cooking over the top of It. She really hasn’t lost any weight. The appearance of the dog food just looks like a light tan colored kibble they’re hard. They have the nutrition that she’s supposed to have and it’s supposed to be a good quality feed with good ingredients and freshness. I just wish that she would eat what she’s supposed to each day so that she will lose weight

Best dog food. As soon as I switch to other brands my dogs start gaining weight.
