Royce Leather Luxury Travel Luggage Tag in Leather, White

I was looking for a classy leather luggage tag, and this is beautiful soft leather with perfect stitching on three sides, and an ID card inside the flap, covered by a piece of thick protective plastic. The gold buckle on the strap is of good sturdy quality. The luggage tag is a perfect size too.But:I ordered green, hoping for hunter green to stand out against my black luggage so that I can find it in the conveyor belt in the airport. It is not the green color as shown on this site. It is very dark and looks black.I think the leather strap needed to be two-ply and stitched for strength. It is a single thin strip of soft leather that looks like it could break easily.The end of the luggage tag has a 3/8" slit on the front and the back for the strap to go through, and to keep the ID card inside the tag. Like the strap, it is a soft pliable leather that is stronger than the strap only because the front and the back make it a double thickness. I think stitching on each single side would have added strength. However, the strap will break before the slits do. I will put a chain through the slit for added strength with the strap, but the slit may fail.I ordered a set of two tags which was apparently a deal that isn't being offered now. But only one was sent, with a note saying that I will receive the second one after I have completed this review. This doesn't seem right, but what choice do I have?

Technically fits a business card, but the window is so small, you can’t see the name and phone # in the card... it’s all covered by the leather margins. Nice leather, though. Buckle is loose... would probably fall off. Returned.

We bought two of these beautifully made leather luggage tags, coco and black, and are very pleased with the quality of the leather and the workmanship. The metal buckle is sturdy too. Although some question the strength of the strap, it seems quite adequate if one uses the first hole and one can always punch another to make the strap tighter. The security window holds a business card (discard the peculiar tag with a space for your social security number!) Sophisticated and conservative, looks great with nice leather luggage.

This tag is nicely and firmly stitched. The leather quality is better than my purse and soft to the touch. If there is a breaking point on the tag, it will be the strap for attaching the tag to the suitcase. It is of single-layer leather, no stitching and 3/8” wide. This slender pliable strap is nice leather, don’t get me wrong. But it is so pliable that it tends to scootch up in the buckle around the buckle’s prong. So far, it hasn’t meant the buckle actually comes undone, so maybe this doesn’t make a difference. I have some older leather luggage tags where the strap is stiffer. Those old straps don't look or feel as nice, but so far they have never come close to unbuckling.Otherwise, this is a very nice tag. Unlike some of the hard plastic tags, a bendable leather tag will not bust when the airline luggage handlers throw stuff on top of it. It’s durable in that way as well as good looking (and, when you first get it, the smell of the leather is lovely.)The tag comes with a paper card to use, but don’t fill the whole thing out – would you believe it has a place to enter your Social Security Number? I hope no one naively actually writes his in. I think I’ll email Royce Leather and suggest the introduction of a new card. If you want to take out their card and use a business card, there is plenty of room.Overall, a real class act. I’ve attached a photo showing one of my tags with the box in which it was delivered. Pretty nice if you’re using the tag as a stocking stuffer.Happy Reader

Very high quality luggage tags ... arrived nicely packaged and undamaged. The leather is of good quality and very soft to the touch. The only issue that keeps me from giving the product 4 stars is that the blue luggage tag was an extremely dark shade of navy blue (almost black), very much different from the color posted on amazon during the purchase process. In fact, I also ordered a black tag and the two are almost identical in color. (See attached photo). Other than that no issues with the product.

I travel a lot and as we all know bags get beaten up badly by airlines. The nice leather not only looks sharp, but is very durable. The clasp is well made and it won't come off.The snap close feature to keep info hidden is something I really appreciate. Very good buy!
