Awesome bit of kit
Expensive, but it works perfectly. It fits my Makita track, it has adjustable wheels to keep it tight, and a catch to lock it onto the track. It's well made and sturdy too. While I was thinking all-metal would have been nicer, the plastic actually glides effortlessly and friction free. Given the cost of the guide rails, clamps, storage bag etc. and my saw, the price of this is almost irrelevant.

Expensive for What it is
Can you really justify around £50 for what is essentially a piece of plastic and two bent metal rods?? I mean it works at fits my DHS680 and Evolution track well, but feel around £20 would be more realistic. Anyway works well and I guess cheaper than buying a dedicated track saw.

It’s okay
Came in clear plastic bag in Amazon box except better for £60. Will do the job but over priced

Almost makes a tracksaw redundant
Maybe I’m a bit slow but it took me a good few minutes to work out which way round to fit the adapter to my DHS680 but careful examination of the pictograms on the package eventually helped. Once fitted it works a treat on the Makita guide rail and almost brings the circular saw up to the accuracy of a full blown tracksaw. Excellent bit of kit when you just need straight cuts without the cost of a tracksaw.

Does the job well
The Makita 196953-0 Guide Rail Adapter Set is a solid bit of kit. It’s easy to set up and makes cutting super accurate with my circular saw. The fit is snug and secure, and it slides smoothly along the rail. It definitely takes your precision to the next level, especially on long cuts. If you’re doing a lot of guided cutting, this adapter set is a must-have.Simple and straight to the point!

Abnsoluter garbage
Do not buy this it is absolute rubbish and frankly I cannot believe that Makita who make good products think this rail guide is good enough. When I say its rubbish I mean it is absolute garbage, cheapo plastic poorly moulded which is totally inaccacuate and the cheap metal rails are horrendous and do not fit the awful plastic part, it is a total embarrasment shame on Makita for putting this on the market.
