PacsafePacsafe 85L Backpack & Bag Protector Stainless Steel

I bought this mesh enclosure to use when we drive our Jeep without doors & tops, naked. This will allow me to cover a bag or some of our recovery gear without the worry that it’s going to go walking off. It’s very easy to use. It fits perfectly over my Yeti Camino 35. I purchased a small combination lock to replace the keyed lock it came with, just so I don’t have to worry about losing a key. I might order the larger one depending on how much we use this one once it warms up.

It works like it’s supposed to and I’m sure it deters thief’s but it’s a PITA to put your bag in and take it out. I work out of a truck visiting construction sites in various parts of the Bay Area and stop at some sketchy locations like in Oakland (where my first bag was stolen from). So I purchase this to add security when I walk away from my truck.I use a 5.11 bag and it has the molle system and I had attachments on it so there’s always something to catch on to the net. If only it was in a form of a bag itself with the net within the fabric or other material.

These are flexible and will fit back into the storage bag pretty easily. My car was broken into and I had an expensive camera bag stolen. Now i put the bag into this net and lock it to the metal seat bracket with the included cable and lock. It does give me peace of mind but the lock is definitely small as well as the cable. Its a good solution to drter or slow someone down, but a good pair of side cutters would quickly defeat the cable and give access to removing the entire bag with the net still attached.

I used this over a 65L Osprey backpack on a solo trip lasting 15 months across 4 continents and 21 countries. It was invaluable! While staying in hostels, it allowed me to lock my valuables inside and secure the entire bag to the bed frame so no one could walk off with my belongings. Same at the bus station while going to the lavatory or getting food. Highly recommend!

If it has been posted, please ignore any previous review by me. It was directed at UPS and truly did not reflect my product experience. It arrived as what I wanted, and customer service responded professionally. I will be happy to do business with them again.

This product works well, but when trying to put my backpack inside it gets caught very easily. It's not very efficient either. Getting my belongings out each time isn't very easy. Putting this product back in it's carrying bag isn't easy either. I'm currently using this on a two week trip in Sweden. It's not the most efficient or easy to use, but it's protecting my things when I stay in hostels.

Worked great for my month abroad

I purchased this product to protect my 65L backpack while backpacking in India. Despite the 85 L size as advertised, it did not fit my backpack at all. The net is more of a spherical shape and does not fit cylindrical shapes or long bags well at all. And if you bag does fit it will likely be loose - not a tight grip around the bag which the the product image deceivingly shows.I tried returning the product but the seller (luggagedeisngers) only offers a short 30-day return policy - which was no nearly long enough for me to try and return the product. Now I am stuck with a useless product that was quite expensive for what it is.I do not recommend this product or seller.
