This is excellent paper for shipping and as a neutral photo backdrop.
This review is primarily about setting up a small but efficient “shipping station” that is eco friendly and also a small photography set. A side from the cost in dollars, there are three main factors related to setting up a shipping station. One is the “cost” to the environment, the next is the “cost” in storage space, and the third is the “cost” in working space. For example large items like styrofoam packing peanuts “cost” your storage are a lot of space. Too many things on the counter “cost” your working space and make working difficult. Counter space is usually a premium in a small work area. I give all the items suggested 5 stars. I am very happy with this shipping station. I mostly buy and sell antique and vintage tools and have sold almost 10,000 items on eBay. Which also means I have carefully packed shipped all those thousands of items. Shipping matters, and takes what it takes. Yet, it is imperative to not leave a mountainous trail of garbage behind just to ship items. Without a doubt, the main offender is “single use plastic” like plastic film tape, bubble wrap, plastic air puffs, bubble mailers, styrofoam peanuts and the like. None of this needed for the most part. Here in the US the most sustainable and recyclable material is paper and cardboard. Very little plastic can or will be recycled that was once shipping materials. So let’s begin. RACK: My setup has evolved and gotten smaller over the years and is more efficient, which is nice. I created my current shipping station within a 48” wide wire rack although one could use a wider 60” or smaller 36”. Wide is nice. The wire rack is the foundation of my setup although you might use a counter or something else. If you keep your rack on wheels, screw the wheels in all the way so the threaded shaft does not bend, and be realistic on the amount of weight the rack can hold. On feet they can hold many times the weight that they can on wheels. Make sure you do not load it top heavy. Create your rack by adding one shelf to the very bottom. Temporarily adjust one shelf to a comfortable working counter height and another above that with enough working room above the counter. Adjust your other shelfs to maximize your storage. You might need to adjust more than once to dial it in. The best tool for loosening shelves is a rubber mallet if you have one. Be sure the plastic clips SNAP together when you put them on. My setup has a bottom shelf, lower storage shelf, counter shelf and two upper storage shelves. This wire rack has been excellent for me. 48” WIRE RACK: https://amzn.to/3Ve58lE 60” WIRE RACK: https://amzn.to/4aW58wG KRAFT PAPER: I mostly ship antique and vintage tools, yet I ship all kinds of other items also. A 24” roll of kraft paper is my essential first step in packing up an item. I simply roll the item into the paper and use a rotary cutter to cut the excess. Then, leaving a little extra room (not tight) I fold the two ends. I do not use tape. I simply flip the item over and set it on the folded paper to hold it shut. Later the box or envelope will hold it shut. With practice you can predict your paper size and cut it to size before wrapping. Cutting is so easy and efficient with a rotary cutter/mat and can be done with one hand. What might not be apparent here is that you do not have to buy or store bubble wrap and packing peanuts and such which will save you a huge amount of space. A roll of kraft paper hung in the back of your wire rack takes up no working or storage room. Additionally it creates a seamless backdrop for photographing small items. KRAFT PAPER ROLL: https://amzn.to/3X8XLyw ROTARY CUTTER: https://amzn.to/3KxMfoQ ROTARY CUTTING MAT: https://amzn.to/45fCq8S KRAFT ENVELOPES AND BOXES: With the item simply wrapped, the sharp-ish edges are dulled and the item is protected to a fairly great degree. Next is to package it which will protect it further. I use kraft envelopes that are rigid or cardboard boxes. The price goes down on these as you buy greater numbers. I also reuse lots of boxes too. Should more packing materials be needed you can use pieces of cardboard or wadded up kraft paper. Cardboard folded into simple shapes like a square or triangle can provide a lot of protection. There are scissors made for cutting cardboard. Sometimes you might need to double box an item like glass with a box inside a box with wadded paper between the boxes. If the item was truly “sharp” you would need to attend to that before wrapping. No need for plastic film tape, bubble wrap, plastic air puffs, bubble mailers, styrofoam peanuts and the like. Just wrap with paper and use paper and cardboard to protect your items. One great help is that these kraft envelopes are high density items to store, and take very little room. I prefer the un-reinforced tape yet will use the reinforced tape for very large heavy items where and insurance claim might be at stake. I have an old school antique paper tape dispenser, yet there are a lot more choices than there used to be on Amazon. Dispensers under $20 to over $1200. Paper tape might seem like a hassle at first, yet it is the professional and sustainable way to ship. It gets to be second nature with a little practice. For boxes, seal the ends first then the middle seam. I keep a tiny tray and a sponge the width of tape handy to touch up tape that is misbehaving. REINFORCED PAPER TAPE: https://amzn.to/45bZNA0 PAPER TAPE: https://amzn.to/4bKnYbn TAPE DISPENSERS: https://amzn.to/458FHXn SCISSORS: https://amzn.to/45aRjZP LABELS: Next you have to label your package. Printing a label on a printer, cutting the label out and then taping it on with plastic film tape is both expensive and time consuming. Get yourself a label printer. At the time I bought mine it was one of the few that worked with eBay, Etsy and the USPS. Go wireless and you can print from an iPad or iPhone or other wireless device. Buy labels in bulk and they are very affordable. It takes at least a foot and a half of plastic film tape for one USPS or UPS label. That adds up. The Thermal labels need no ink or ink cartridges and no film tape. The printer I use is awesome, I have had mine for years and it has been flawless. The labels are professional looking and super easy. LABEL PRINTER: https://amzn.to/3KtiK7R THERMAL LABELS: https://amzn.to/4bO9ebe PHOTO AND LIGHTS: The Kraft paper also makes a seamless background if you hang it. A lot of folks prefer a white background but I prefer a more neutral background for tools and kraft paper works great. If it gets dirty I just roll out some clean paper. I have tried white newsprint type paper but that paper is horrible for shipping as it is brittle and tears to easy. I used a wood closet rod for a pole to hang the roll of kraft paper. My counter is one pine board from the lumber store, cut to size to make the counter two boards deep. I added portable photo lights for photos and also to light the shipping counter. They are clamped on with magic clamps and adjusted with magic arms which work great. As a professional I have learned I like to have a dedicated iPad for taking and storing all my photos, for creating listings and correspondences. I do all my label printing from that iPad. Although not necessary, I added a sound bar which I hung with two long zip ties. This adds big sound yet takes no working or storage room. Makes shipping fun. There is a photo of the rotary cutter photographed with the seamless background as a simple example. It is less expensive in the long run. You will be glad you no longer leave a trail of garbage behind. Your packages will be pro. I get lots of compliments on my packaging. Deeply consider the customers overall experience. They get the item they bought. It was simple to open. They did not have to deal with plastic tape and bubble wrap or the static cling of styrofoam. They are left with some cardboard and craft paper. Cardboard and kraft paper is what they are left with. So simple, so pure. Let me know if this review helped.

Very thin but overall it's good for the price
This is much thinner than the Kraft paper I bought before. It's maybe just 1/4 of the thickness. I bought it for pattern tracing purpose. If it were white I might even be able to just trace with it, without using carbon paper. So at the beginning I was unsatisfied and wanted to return. However after I used it for patterns, I found out that this thickness is probably better to be used as pattern paper. It doesn't curl thanks to the thick roll, and can stay flat. My thick kraft paper even after pressed for days would still curl crazy. This is a big advantage. Plus I don't really need that much thickness, and the price is much better. So I give it 5 stars. Just set your expectation right. This is thin paper. It's about the same weight if not less of copy paper. you can write on it just like normal paper.

Perfect for paper trained puppies!
When it comes to paper training a dog for indoor relief, I have found that this paper is perfect. 40 lb weight is really absorbent and strong, and won't stain your floor like newspaper. I know this review is out of the ordinary, but in case anyone else uses newspaper for indoor house training (I have 4 little dogs), this is actually cheaper, more efficient, and easier to clean up.

Too thin but works
It’s too thin, needs an actual supportive bar in the center to hold it as sides fall out....too thin. Tears too easily and is extremely heavy to work it, but great for Non heavy crafting

Makes great bird cage liner.
My birds really enjoyed pooping on this.

Good quality
Good bang for your buck. The kraft roll is really heavy, so make sure your holder is capable of holding that amount. We had to remount ours since it was a bit too big, but that wasn't an issue.

Multi-purpose Kraft Paper
Great value for this amount of craft paper. I use it for dust cover on the back of pictures I frame, use for wrapping paper and packing paper and fun for my granddaughter to draw BIG.

Ok, not great
I expected a heavier paper. This is marginally too thin to ship with confidence. In fact, it tears while wrapping packages or when tape pulls on it. I’ve used it but I’ve doubled it to improve my comfort level. In all fairness it is probably my fault for anticipating a heavier (the roll of paper itself is plenty heavy, lol) paper and the product description does seem accurate.
