Best football out there for little kids. This is the second one we have purchased, and I am getting a couple of others. Not hugely durable if used on concrete/pavement, but that's the trade-off for getting something soft for little kids. MUCH better than nerf (easier to throw and catch, better weight, etc.). Started using it partially inflated with toddlers, then inflate more as they grow. One kid wears glasses, and this is pretty gentle for those missed catches that make it through to the face. Overall a great product.

Great football, soft enough to get them comfortable with the idea. But not a sponge. When aired up all the way it has a good firm feel. You'll want to get an air pump for sure, it does drop air pressure over a couple months. We've bought three of these. I'd say about 18 months of hard play max is about all they will last. But that's plenty good for me. My kids wear them out. They have a good texture for grip and don't just kill them if they plant the tip of the ball square in the chest.

Best football for young kids learning to catch and throw. Great grip. Softer than your typical football. My 4 year old loved it.

My little brother has recently started to gain interest in football, so now him and I frequently go out to play catch, however he had issues gripping the composite footballs and would be afraid to catch them if we were more than several feet apart from each other. This football is great and he can get his hands around it and get a good grip to throw a pretty good spiral, and since it's decently soft he's not afraid to get hit by it. Perfect size, weight, and face-smack cushioning for my 5-yr-old to learn how to catch and throw! The ball is made of "Nerf"-like material on the outside, but it still has a bladder that you must pump up with air. The laces are surprisingly comfortable, and he can get get a nice spin on the ball because of it. Just note, there are a few "harder" places, so not AS soft as say a full, old school nerf ball, but they make the ball more durable when hitting the ground/pavement/etc. Also, colors are RANDOM, so don't expect a particular color, but all the colors are really nice, so it really doesn't matter! We had one of these for a long time, and eventually it broke, so this one replaced it!

This football is perfect. It’s soft enough that if you get hit in the face it’s not going to hurt a lot, but it’s not a foam ball. It’s heavy enough you can throw it in the wind, and real enough to throw a nice spiral. Just about everyone who picks it up comments about how perfect it is. I liked it enough to buy a second one

I'm on my fifth one of these. My boys (7 and 8) spend at least 20 minutes throwing one of these in the road most days; they hold up remarkably well. We'll use the same one for months and months -- they are very, very durable. Their only kryptonite seems to be over-inflation, which rips 'em up pretty quickly (kids no longer allowed to inflate). They are easy to grip and throw very well. They have enough mass that I can throw one as far as I'd ever need to, but not so much that it hurts to get hit by one. Yes, you can't choose the color. No, we absolutely don't care. We care that it works well, and this one does.

Just buy this football. We have owned 3 of these over the past 15 years. It’s the best family football I’ve ever thrown…and we’ve TRIED THEM ALL. Even a beginner can throw tight spirals. It’s big and weighted enough for adults to drive it through the wind, and small and light enough for kids to learn how to throw. We typically take it to the beach here in Tampa, and it performs fine wet, sandy…or wet and sandy. I just bought two more in case Franklin does something dumb, and either discontinues this perfect football, or someone in upper management decides to tweak/fix something that is perfect.

Uso como brinquedo… tenho uma border collie que é fissurada em bola! O produto é ótimo porque não fura, mas a película protetora está bem avariada. Porém recomendo para quem precisa de um brinquedo confortável.

Great football! Perfect size for little kids (3-5) and big kids (38+). We took this on vacation to the beach and played with it every day. It was great for the pool too. The size was perfect for travel! Instead of buying some cheap ball at the local walmart, I opted to take my own gear this time. Great idea! Easy to throw for kids and soft too! That way, when I hit them in the face with it, there were less tears than usual. No blood either! Good times. I would recommend this to any parents looking for a ball for the backyard or for a trip like camping or to the beach/pool. Would make a great birthday present for that neighbour kid who you don't really know or like too. But, you were invited to the party, so you better take something. Most kids like balls! This is a great toy at a really good price! Win Win!
