Helps control Tarter and Dog Breath
We give these to our Yorkie to control tarter and Doggie Breath. She is 9 years old and when we got her from the shelter only had 4 canine teeth in front and 8 molars (4 up and 4 down) in back. These are softer than the Dingo Dental Stix we give ourt other dog. We break them up so she can chew them. They seem effective and I do not notice any tarter buildup or offensive dog breath. The dog enjoys and I recommend them to all who have a dog.

Discontinued!
My dogs have been eating these for years! I buy these because the sticks get caught on my small dogs teeth and she panics. I tried cutting them, but it's difficult. These fresh bites have been great. Too bad they don't have more. Time to switch to a different company :(

Just buy these
I’d like these better than the dentasticks for a couple reasons. First, they may be a smaller put my dogs tend to chew on them for more than a second which in turn makes me assume that their teeth are getting cleaned better. Second, my dogs appear to love these more than the dentasticks. Third, to me they smell a ton better than the original sticks did. And then you can’t go wrong with the large bag of treats you get for the price you pay. I don’t know how many treats are in the bag but I give my two medium-size dogs a total of four a day and it lasts me longer than a month

Manufacturer discontinued these - my dog is not happy about that!
I know these have been discontinued, but I am writing the review any way. I am really unhappy these are no longer being made. My dog just loved these and the big box I was getting from Amazon was a better value than anything I could find in the stores. It isn’t Amazon that has discontinued them- I contacted the manufacturer and they are simply no longer making them. Really a bummer. I have not found anything else like this that my dog actually likes and will eat. Even the same brand in stick form is not “acceptable” to him!

Start when they are young! Save money and frustration!!
I have 6 rescue dogs and have been feeding them these for 8 years now. They DO clean the teeth. And maintain clean teeth after brushing. I have saved thousands in dental cleaning costs using these one per dog before bed with monthly brushing. Some of their teeth were pretty yucky when we got them and while they didnt get crystal clean they did cleanup quite a bit. If you have a young dog start now. One per night before bed!! Save your money and your dogs teeth.

They smell like mint. my dog eats them but is not crazy about them. They really don't change anything with his dirty teeth. And you are limited on how many they can eat a day according to dog size. I have a Chihuahua that's 8 lbs. he can only have two a day. So, the teeth scrubbing claim...is really bunk in my opinion. Just get some Digest-eze dog treat. They are easy digestable rawhide stix. Not regular rawhide. I wont buy these again. I still have a box full. May end up throwing them away. I really like the Digest-eze rawhide a lot better and my dog loves them too. It takes them awhile to chew one down completely which is REALLY scrubbing their teeth and making them stronger.

Dentastix bites works well but its not a treat
Ordered these for my pomchi mix. He's a very small dog with the potential to have dental problems from both sides of his breeds. They seem very chewable(like gum) and I have to say its worked well to clearing up his bad breath. Though I will say it must have a bit of a bad taste because he doesn't consider them to be treats so he'll eat the dentastix bites but reluctantly. But I suppose that its alike brushing one's teeth with toothpaste I don't think the flavor is going to be all that stellar. It does what it needs to and that's good for me and my doggo.

My dog has terrible breath and she does like me brushing her teeth
My dog has terrible breath and she does like me brushing her teeth. She is very food driven so these treats were great. Helps keep her teeth clean, and helps with her breath as well. These ones are a bit small for my 55 pound dog, so we typically give her 2 at a time.

My dog likes them too much now
When I first gave these to my dog she did not really care for it but eventually she quit spitting it out and ate it. Next day I gave her one and she chewed it up like I thought she should. Day 3 she swallowed it whole!!! She seems okay, but I will never give these to her again and wonder how they would be safe for any dog as mine is pretty small - 11 inches tall and 12 pounds.

Fresh Bites for Dogs
the doggies love treats and I prefer they have treats that clean their teeth. I have a doxie that has a parrot mouth, which means his mouth is never completely closed because the upper is out more than the lower. Because of this, he never has fresh breath but greenies and dentastix help to freshen him up some. I also like that they are small. I don't feel they are getting over treated.

Don’t buy these, they are hard as rocks!!
I’ve purchased these previously in the grocery stores but lately have only found the long sticks. These are the perfect size for our small dog but they arrived “hard as a rock”!!!! Too hard to even chew. We put one in microwave to soften it but then had to wait for it to cool. Must be old cause I’ve never boughten these and they’ve been hard before?!

Live these!
My dogs love these and they really freshen breath! I like these bites instead of the bigger chews because my little dachshund is missing teeth and the ones he has left aren’t great and he’s too old to have the dental surgeries anymore. I’m bummed these are discontinued.

We got these as part of a variety selection of dental sticks for our dog, to give him some variety. These are nice because - due to their small size - we give him two, and he enjoys getting double the treats! The minty-aspect is pretty typical for mint-flavored/scented dog items...it doesn't exactly smell minty fresh, but it's a little refreshing and certainly not a bad scent.

Our dogs will work for these treats. We used to do the Dentastix sticks but it wasn't fair on the older dog. As soon as she broke it into pieces, our younger one would distract and gobble. We have medium sized dogs but the bite size are great as a final bed time treat and to carry in the pocket when we're playing fetch. Best use I think is to have them in the car. We store them in sealed on the side of the door and give them out when we're on longer road trips or they are extra good or cute. Also, when one barks at a dog or person as we pass by, I toss a treat to the quiet dog. They figure it out...

This product is amazing!!
OMG!!! This product is amazing!!! I was about to give up and decided to spend money on a visit to the vet for dental hygiene until I came across Dentastix on Amazon! I read all the reviews which were mostly 4 or 5 stars about using this product on their dogs and decided to try it. It's amazing, my dogs breathe had gotten pretty bad and I really love them. After using it in a matter of 2 weeks their breathe had gotten soooo much better. I will use this as often as possible and I've already ordered my 2nd box.
