Works Great. Huge time saver.
Short review: Works great. Huge time saver. Long review: Great tool as are most Milwaukee power tools I have owned. This tool isn't going to do anything you can't already do with a normal ratchet or even a power drill with a 3/8 inch socket adapter, but man it is such a time saver. It is just handy to have this dedicated socket power tool. I thought I would just use this for working on cars, tractors, or other machinery. However, it is so handy, I have it in my general handyman tool tote with a small socket set. It saves so much time on all kinds of little projects. I just used it the other day to disassemble a bed frame that uses about 6 inch lag screws. It turned a 10-15 minute job into a 5 minute job. Zips those screws or nuts right out or off. Battery life seems good. It has a light on it that I do find handy sometimes. It is like a two stage trigger. Pull it a little and the light turns on without the tool running. Pull the trigger further and the tool runs. The tool seems to have good torque. It isn't going to break rusty or really tight bolts. It isn't an impact wrench. However, the tool is built to allow the user to use it like a ratchet to break loose the nut or tighten it at the end. I have found that it works fine for most nut/bolts I encounter, but obviously you have to get a regular ratchet to break the nuts loose sometimes. It seems plenty durable for the DIYer or farmer or similar use. I can't attest to how it would hold up in a professional setting. I also, can't say how it compares to an air ratchet as I have never owned one. I use this tool for DIY home use/handyman use/farm work/DIY mechanic work. It has held up well so far. The one negative is the price of Milwaukee power tools. They are good tools, but I think you probably pay extra for the brand name. Other cheaper brands usually work just fine. However, I try to stick to one or two brands so I don't have a bunch of different batteries and chargers. Bottom line is I find it handy and a durable tool for a DIY type of person. Not sure how it would hold up to every day professional use.

Great tool but did not get everything it said it included
So far it’s good. It did not come with the adapter that says it’s included with. I had to buy that myself. Came 3 days earlier than expected. I do think the case is overkill as it’s way bigger than the tool. Ala in all a good product especially if you get everything it says that’s included. Amazon, if your reading this get me my adapter.

Love this thing
Been owning and using this for at least 4 years. I love this thing . The quality is amazing. Very easy to use and makes the job easier, not heavy, works for home, DIY, and any shop . The only thing that made me give it 4stars is the battery that came with it, very weak and gave up after 8 months of use. But once you upgrade to better and higher AHM. Works perfectly.

Great Electric Ratchet, Don't waste your money on a cheaper Knockoff
Purchased this M12 ratchet a couple of weeks ago, and used it for the first time last weekend, and I love it! I've been an Auto technician for 40 years and have always been oldschool, using pneumatic air tools for everything, but no longer, after using my brother's crappie Harbor Freight electric ratchet, I was on the fence about buying one because of the size and weight of the H.F. version of this tool, but I've known for years that you get what you pay for when it comes to buying automotive related tools! Not only is the M12 ratchet smaller and lighter than the competition, it's lower torque and faster rpm speed is actually an advantage, at 35 ft-lb max torque,( v.s. H.F.'S 65 ft-lb model) you're saved from the annoying knucklebuster cuts on your hands, but More importantly, you'll have less chance of snapping bolts while loosening or tightening, and no one enjoys either, Spins bolts out fast, loosed most of the ones I've encountered underhand so far, and best of all its quiet with no dirty air hose to drag around to scratch the paint work on your shiny ride. It comes with one lithium ion battery, a charger and a decent case that has velcro and elastic straps to keep your stuff secure, should you decide to transport the kit or accidentally pick it up while it's unzipped, the charger is high tech, and fast, even came with a bonus 3/8"to 1/4" reducer, and knockoff batteries ran and charged well in both, the only thing else I could add here is, this vendor appears to have the best price point as well, and I Internet surfed for Days looking for the best deals on this Kit, hopefully I helped your decision making process, thanks for hanging in there this far, Kurt

Life saver and a game changer for my job! Cuts a battery install time in half. Worth every nickel and of course with the Milwaukee name, you're getting the best equipment on the market hands down.

I have a lot of different brands of tools being a technician and lot of snap on / mac / master craft, you name it but this is the only Milwaukee tool in my toolbox right now. I use it often and it has stood up... the only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because after "35" ft/lbs if you push the ratchet a little harder like you can with an air ratchet to really snug a bolt... you can sometimes hear cracking sounds and the battery pack is sensitive to being pushed on which is hard to remember when your a busy flat rate tech, also it is bulkier than I thought it was going to be. build quality is good... shipping from amazon was excellent...battery life is good. if you plan to use it as your main tool I would recommend snap on as their cordless ratchet has a thinner diameter allowing it to be used in places this thing can't overall its a good buy but if your a full time technician working flat rate, all I can say is I hope Milwaukee stands by their warranty! update: (2 and a half years later) I finally broke the thing after lots of abuse.. I contacted Milwaukee about warranty and they mailed me a brand new one free of charge and gave me a few free goodies. excellent tool with a great warranty. updated from 4 stars to 5 because of warranty

As the previous reviewer noted, the price for this tool on Amazon.ca cannot be beat. Free shipping as well! The tool itself works great and has a surprising amount of torque. It will loosen most smaller bolts without any need for the user to add any extra torque to the tool. A couple things that I can nitpik with: occasionally I find the trigger would be better placed under my thumb rather than on the bottom of the tool. Also, when tightening a fastener, the tool continues to rotate the head for a bit after the trigger is released - this can lead to over-tightening. Other than that, I find the battery will last all day on a fairly big project, and it has enough speed and torque to really speed up dis-assembly and assembly.
