Silence is golden, but costs only 10 cents a piece
Did the trick. Most of the metal stairway doors and the elevator doors in our condo building had lost their rubber bumpers over the past 25 years and clanged loudly when they shut. We could see the small holes in the door frames where there used to be bumpers, so we took a chance and ordered these. They're a little hard to fit into the holes without an insertion tool (takes about a minute per hole to wiggle and wedge them into place), but once they're in place they work great. In about 15 minutes I was able to fit these silencers into all the doors that were missing them, and it made a huge difference. No more clanging! The doors and door frames were made with the expectation that these types of bumpers would be used, so they haven't created any problems with doors closing and latching. All they do is get rid of the noise. Peace and quiet for a whole building for ten bucks. Now that's a bargain. Silence may be golden, but in this case costs just ten cents a piece.

Replacement for Gottlieb rubber stops in pinball machine restorations...
Bought under the impression these would work as a replacement for Gottlieb black grommets for pinball machines (particularly in the chime box). They do fit, and they seem to work. They are of course not black, so they kinda look un-original, and wish they were available in black so at least they kinda passed the 'visual and sniff' test of a discerning trained eye. But, they do fit, and do work. Thanks for the idea, recommend 'kinda' for this purpose. What i have done in the past via Tim A (PHoF) recommendation is take off the relay bank on the main boards and use those rubber offsets. Done that many times, doens't take much time, and they are in fine shape and work great. However, as I get older, and don't want to do things that take much time any more, just putting these in makes some sense. Saves 5-10 minutes, yet doesn't keep it original. However, neither does taking off relay bank rubber, so 1/2 dozen or another is issue, and solution is use new product for the purpose. We'll see how it lasts.

These are real rubber not plastic
The first time i ordered these door silencers it did not say it was rubber. Turned out to be hard plastic which defeat the whole purpose. The first and second order, they were impossible to get them in. These are really rubbery, and they go in easy. I use a large Phillips screwdriver and screw them on. I'm a painter and paint metal doors all the time. I always replace them if needed.

Helps with door slam
They definitely help with commercial metal door slam. They are definitely a pain in ### to install. I used a little allen wrench to push in because it's not sharp, but still managed to ruin a couple of them by pushing to hard and tool went thru rubber stop. Once I figured out proper pressure they went easy.

Perfect replacement for the original
They work as advertised. You do need a small allen wrench or other device to apply pressure to the center of the hole in order to install them properly, but once installed they work just fine.

The product worked as expected. Shipping was a bit long. Not much to say it is a simple product to do a simple job

Perfect size for my condominium door. I went to a homedepot here in canada and they said homedepot us only carry this items so I ordered on Amazon. Works great and now I have life time supply of the door silencer

The item was listed as one colour and when it arrived it is not the same. Also, these items are typically soft rubber. This is very hard to push them in. When I tried to return it, I realised there is no free return and the return shipping cost is excessive, discouraging any return. This is highly misleading and inappropriate way to list products to evade refund. Will never buy from them again and would discourage others.

Work great, easy to install... I suggest a Allan key. It will feel like you poked through it but thats the silencer seating in the door frame.

These work perfectly as replacements in door frames. Keeps door shut in proper position. Grey colour is subtle.
