Average book with below average quality and photographs.
The book has some useful information about the development, production, specifications and versions of the W126. What it lacks is a good/decent set of pictures to simple admire the greatness of the W126 (from all its angles, in and out!). The quality of the paper and most of the color photographs is appalling, to say the least. A real shame, because the W126 has the all the potential to create a great history. I would buy this book ONLY if you are a die hard fan of the W126, if not, better look somewhere else.

If you love the 126 series, this is the book for you.
I'm over halfway through the book. What a pleasure! We own an SEC and an SEL. Driving these cars is truly an experience like no other and Mr. Greene is clearly as passionate as we are. He has done his research and provides a wonderful history, fascinating technical details, scads of great pictures and all the data you could want.A nice followup to his first book about maintaining these keepsakes and highly recommended.

“Must have” book for all W126 enthusiasts!
This is an absolutely amazing and delightful follow up from Mr. Greene. Again, he shows his unmatched knowledge of the W126, and runs that side by side with this most entertaining and helpful history of this fine car. The level of detail is astounding. This is simply a must-have for those that own a W126, or even those simply interested in this fantastic vehicle.I can not recommend this book highly enough, along with Mr. Greene’s other book on the topic. Five + stars!

A MUST READ!!! for anyone considering or already owning a W126 S Class
Wow! What a phenomenally well put together book this is! Really well researched and planned out. Kudos to the author, his appreciation for these cars really resonates in the pages of this book. Particularly loved the bespoke and modified versions covered! A must read for anyone considering the w126!

Excellent review of Mercedes from beginning to the most current vehicles
Mercedes history from start to finish, with excellent concentration & focus on the 126 series. This now is one of my priority on display to read coffee table books.

A very average book
A very average book on the w126 Mercedes. Sadly it is also printed on very cheap paper which ruins the experience especially at the price it costs. The author's other book on the w126 is far better and this book also has many photos that have already been seen before in other publications.

High Quality print and content
I did hesitate ordering this book due to review stating it was badly printed and mention of repeated info from Nik Greene's previous book on the 126 series Merc.Whilst some info is in both books - they are about the same car - it is no more than necessary to be coherent. The emphasis of this book is very different - mark history rather than owning and buying/workshop manual.A worthy addition for anyone interested in or owning a 126 Mercedes S Class.Well done Nik!

Well-researched and written!
This book goes into the history and development of the 126. Mr. Greene has obviously done a great deal of research and is eminently knowledgeable about these cars. I owned an '84 300SD and would love to own another one of these masterpieces! Great book, Nik!
