Great Sauce, try it

I cannot believe how glorious and fresh this sauce is. My mouth is watering as I write. We had this for the first time last night with some pappardelle and it was just....it evoked memories from childhood, getting to taste the sauce from the big wooden spoon. It is perfection. Oh - and it's the only tomato sauce that does not give me heartburn! And - it's available at Market Basket now, too - for half the price. It is the absolute freshest, most flavorful, thick but not too thick sauce.

I wasn't crazy about spending this much money on a jar of sauce, but I wanted to see if I could find a good tomato and basil sauce. This hit the spot. Absolutely delicious!! My taste buds were very pleased!!! I can't say I would spend this much again because I am frugal, but if if the price drops, I will buy many and stock up.

We've tried many different spaghetti sauces over the years and I will never buy anything different than this sauce as long as they make it. I buy the Amazon fresh Italian sausage links (6) and brown them with onions and garlic. I freeze half of the meat. Then I finish the sauce with a pack of sliced mushrooms. Sauté them in the meat, when everything looks good add the sauce. There's nothing better. Added bonus if you split the meat in half you have the spaghetti meat ready in your freezer for dinner. .

I was looking for a replacement for Raos in case the ingredients chsnge abs this is not the he one for me.

As an Italian who has spent years making her own sauce, I usually avoid all jar sauces. This one is an exception. The flavor is very good, and I like the large jar. I have purchased it several times now, and will continue to do so. I definitely recommend trying this one. Also, if you use mason jars, the regular size lid and ring will fit on the top of this jar. Kudo to Michaels of Brooklyn for a great sauce!!

Usually I have to add like five things to pep up a pasta sauce. Not Michaels! Worth every penny. Absolutely flawless from jar to pan to plate. Also, with other brands I usually have to use two jars for a family of five, but with this brand one jar feeds the family. The cost of two jars plus additional ingredients for another brand equals the price of one of these delicious jars of Michaels. No added sugar - I hate sweet sauces! A short list of ingredients and the freshest taste - like straight from the garden! I love this sauce.
