Great Pens; Bright Gold!
These pens are awesome! I do not know calligraphy at all, but I wanted to hand-address my maroon wedding envelopes with a wild, whimsical writing and these worked perfectly! The gold is very bright and if you practice a little and hold the pen correctly, you can at the very least produce quite pretty and legible writing. It was the brightest gold pen I found for this purpose. There is one caveat: I don't know if perhaps it was just because I pressed too hard or the paper was too scratchy, but after about 15-20 envelopes the writing seemed to get a bit fuzzy. For something as important as wedding invitations I decided it was worth it to change them out when they got fuzzy, I bought 5 pens, did 50 invitations, and only used 3 pens. I would buy more if I needed them; I was happy with the purchase and they were about $1 more in the craft stores.

Best paint pens ever!
I ordered these to write on silk ribbon. The paint markers I had were (different brand) bleeding on the ribbon. I wasn't sure how these would work but I'm very happy I tried them!! They are easy to use, the paint flows well with minimal shaking required, and the paint colors are really nice. The finished product looks professional! I will definitely buy these again!

Quality flow and shine, very little paint
I absolutely love the flow and shine of the gold. However, there is a laughable amount of product that does not go far. Working on a project that requires much gold. Cringing at the thought of how many more I’ll need to purchase to complete, but I know that it will be worth the results that I aim for.

Nice, opaque pens.
I really like these pens. They go on the surface easier and stick/dry fairly quickly. Just be carefully because once it is on, it's hard to get off.

Ink Feathering Sucks
I didn't expect that these would function like paint markers (needing to be shaken with the little metal ball inside/ stored horizontally / increased threat of tip clogs and leaks)...but I can look past that for this. So, while the metallic three work fairly well, the black pen feathers, bleeds through pages, and tears up the paper a bit. Also, the pens themselves have stickers around the tips that say not to remove them- seems like these were poorly made. The PenTouch Calligrapher collection doesn't hold a candle to the companies waterproof Calligrapher series. Wish the black pen wasn't included. On its own, the black pen would be a one star for me.

Artists choice in metallic markers
Gorgeous metallic markers. Put these out for an event along with metallic sharpie & crayola brands—these were far superior for writing on black photo album paper. The other brands left chunky, uneven ink lines. Sakura is elegant lines w consistent, beautiful ink.

Item damaged!
I'm extremely upset, I bought this pen to write my wedding invitations envelopes and I just opened it (bought it back in March), and noticed there was no point to it! Can't use the pen and now the return window has closed and I lost my money. So upset because I just had my girls come over to help me with the project and I can't compete it. Should have opened it right away, but I didn't want it to dry out since I wasn't ready to use it. I so wish I could get a replacement. Bummer.
