it is ground vanilla powder - black in color from seeds. it does give vanilla flavor. the best alternative i have found apart from vanilla pods.

The product has no fragrance and is overpriced.will not purchase again .the quantity is so less.

Not organic not pure!
So...where to start. Once you open the Glas, you will smell a horrible synthetic smell of fake vanilla! But I still wanted to give it a try. But during the cooking Process you quickly understand, yes it's not at all a the vanilla flavour as it should be. You need a lot to put inside to get just a miserable chemical taste on your tounge a of waste food product. So this company lost my fate at the first try. My previous Vanilla powder was become empty so I gave this one a chance. Don't do it!!! Not return able and just fake.
