Odyssey PC680MJ Automotive Light Truck Battery

I keep my motorcycle battery on a Battery Tender all the time (don’t cheap out, get the brand), and I bought one of these batteries a while ago. Although it was still working and holding a charge, I just felt I should replace it because I couldn’t remember how long I had it. I pulled it out and realized the thing is literally 8 years old! And was still working! I’ve gone through motorcycle, ATV and wave runner batteries as often as once every year or two, but never have I had a battery for any of those last that long. Buying another was a no-brainer, and I sure hope I get at least 1/2 of that lifespan! I highly recommend this battery, and a Battery Tender. I’d have happily rated this 6 stars if that was an option.

Great battery but the MJ version of the MC 680 does NOT fitIn the battery holder of a 2004 BMW R1200 CLC - contrary to what You Tube says!.

I bought two of these batteries. The first one died and I tried charging it with a 50A charger as recommended in one of Odyssey’s online videos. That battery expanded and won’t take a charge. So I figured that was my fault and bought another battery along with one of the expensive chargers they recommend. That battery also died and won’t take a charge. Maybe these are awesome batteries, but the recharge process is so delicate the fail no matter which charger you use. I’m going back to traditional lead acid.

This particular Odyssey battery is being used in a portable AC power unit to provide Superfluity, a Riff Rock Band, with power for their Carvin portable system. It discharges predictably and recharges rapidly. It is much lighter for the capacity than its predecessor. The all position zero leak capability is appreciated as it allows a sealed unit. Great battery, Amazon has a great price DELIVERED.

Battery lasted only 10 months with only 11V at testing. My bike was a daily commuter and on battery maintainer during COVID situation. Company has responded to warranty claim and battery is now with local warranty service provider for testing and resolution. Hoping for favorable resolution.

The rating of a battery with the same part number showed to be less than PC680MJ, however, this one is the same but is in a metal jacket (MJ). It didn't fit my battery box so I called the mfg and they said to slide a putty knife between the battery and the case and it will come out. Just double stick tape. Same battery.

I have a difficult motorcycle to find a replacement battery for. This is an exact replacement and was easy to hook up my accessories.

Arrived fully charged and fired up the K1200LT faster than any previous battery. Love the low profile top cable mounts, a great help in this bike
