DefenderShieldKids Blue Light Blocking Glasses for Computer, Mobile, Video Games, Gaming

After learning more about blue light, our circadian rhythm‘s, nighttime, and all of that I decided to get myself 2 pairs of blue light blocking glasses. I got a pair for when I’m at work while I’m on my computer and then I got a pair that were an amber colored lens for an hour or two before bed. Immediately after I started wearing them I noticed a huge difference, even though I never had any issues going to sleep at night. I’ve then decided to get my kids a pair each for bedtime, especially since it seems to take my 8-year-old son an awfully long time to fall asleep.( In addition to implementing my kids wearing these glasses an hour before bed, if they are going to be on a computer screen for an extended period they need to wear them, or if they are going to play video games they need to wear them. And they are now required to eat dinner and any desserts two hours before bedtime.) Implementing these changes did take patients and time, but after 4 weeks my kids are no longer complaining about wearing the glasses or the change in color while they are wearing them and they are both falling asleep much better. My son even noted that he feels like his sleep is better and falling asleep is easier. I do try to get my kids outside when possible, we go to the park, we go swimming, we take hikes, but at night, at home we are surrounded by blue light. These glasses are a great way to get our body adjusted to night time and increasing the melatonin. The lenses of these glasses are amber tinted so it does change the color of everything. But they are sturdy glasses. My kids love the little box that the glasses came in and that’s where they put them when they are not using them. Great idea about that box! It also comes with an eye glass bag and lense cleaning cloth. Overall I am very happy that I made this purchase. And my kids like that they got to choose different colors of the frames.

I have had my own blue light blockers for a couple of years and my son has always been curious about them. I let him wear mine while he was watching a show and he enjoyed it so much that I bought him this pair by DefenderShield. I found the Amazon price to be comparable to what was on DefenderShield's site. My son asks for these every day around 5 PM and it seems like he is sleeping better than ever since he has been using them. I think I underestimated the impact of the LED bulbs we now have in our home and the use of these glasses has helped me realize that perhaps we are not just affected by the TV, computer or cell phones but also just what is in our lamps. The DefenderShield glasses are good quality and fit my kiddo perfectly. The fun colors are also great for kids.

My husband and I both use blue light filtering glasses when using the computer or watching TV at night. It's really helped us get sleepy earlier and reduce headaches. I was so happy to find these for kids. My son loves them and they've been holding up well. These do distort the color some since they are the darker shade, but it doesn't bother my son. They've really helped too, he falls asleep faster now as long as I make him wear these in the evenings. I can tell the difference on the nights when he doesn't wear them.

I regret buying these glasses. My son does not wear them- it changes the colors on his iPad screen and they are difficult to see through. I should’ve purchased the clear or yellow lens, that might’ve worked out better. The orange lens is too intense and interferes with his viewing.

This item is perfect for our son. He has no problem wearing them and does so gladly. Very nice item and storage box/bag. I would buy these again if I needed another pair. I'm very happy with this item.

My 4 year old won’t wear these regularly because he knows he can’t see all of the colors with them. They have also broken off one of the sides. Not too sturdy for toddlers.

My son likes them but maybe a little too orange. I don’t know if they can make it less orange and still get the maximum protection. They don’t break easy, doesn’t seem to scratch easily either.

I got this product for my 7 year old daughter. She wore them for a few days then one of the arms came right off the glasses when she took them off. She didn't remove them abruptly or violently. I'm guessing it was just a defect in that particular pair, as I've seen that the majority of the reviews are good. I might buy another pair for her upcoming birthday.
