HyperKewl 6535 Evaporative Cooling Crown Cooler with Neck Shade, Hivis Lime

This is an amazing tool. My husband usually has a severely burned neck each summer. No burn this year, hopefully this will reduce his risk of another skin cancer.My husband says he lets the neck shade dry out overnight and then when he arrives at the job site first thing he wets it and puts it on his hard hat. About every hour during the day he will remove it and pour water over it and hook it back up. Takes no time to do this. He likes it soaking wet, getting his back cooled down.To clean, I followed the directions. Simple. Great great tool. Wish we would have known about this sooner. Should be part of required equipment!!!!!!!!

Giving this 4 stars instead of 3 because it does stay fairly cool for 45 minutes. It evaporates quickly and the snap/wring to recharge only works for a little while. It has elastic bands for some reason, I've never had a hard hat suspension that they'd be able to connect to.In 80 degree weather I was dunking it every 3 hours. It does keep your neck covered and if you position it correctly it will cover the tops of your ears

I wear it under my helmet for horse riding in hot weather and lots of miles. I soak it and then put it on my head, somewhat dripping wet, and then place my helmet over it. Love the fact that it cools my neck too.

I tried to use it in a regular hat with bad results, so I returned.

Absolutely horrible. doesnt fit in my hard hat. another waste of time and a piece of junk. I returned it immediately for as full refund

So far, all of the HyperKewl products I have used have been very nice and cool to a significant degree. Re-wetting every 4-5 hours keeps mine nicely cool.

Makes you look a bit silly but helps with the heat
