Lack Instructions
Although we got it figured out the instructions are not very helpful. They give you the basics but mention nothing of the backup battery or how to get to it and connect it as it comes disconnected. The knockouts to wall mount it and spot for wires are very difficult to get out. Had to use a knife and screwdriver as well as a drill bit. Not a big deal for me but I can see this being trouble for people. The overall look is nice and they work just fine. Other than a little aggravation to get them ready to install they do exactly what they are suppose to.

Strange flaw
I believe most exit signs in this price range are made by one manufacturer, and has the same flaw. The sign is lighted by a circuit board assembly on the bottom, with LED's mounted on it. When the sign seems to dim somewhat, one or more of the LED's has failed. This circuit board assembly is made to be easily replaceable, and there is a label on the sign that even identifies the part number. But, try as I might, I could not buy the assembly by itself, from any distributer, nor sign company, and was advised that I had to buy an entire sign.Nice idea to reduce costs, but absolutely un-workable
