A few quirks, but it’s a problem solver for sure!
I’ve built several crosscut sleds over the years, and never really wanted to take the time to add a miter function. It’s easy to feel bad about spending the money in something you know you should be building yourself. I broke down and bought this thinking I could get both functions and not have to store a bunch of MDF jigs around my very undersized work area. I’m using a Rigid job site saw at the moment, and it is very important to be careful setting this up on any aluminum topped saw. I put some pretty bad scratches on the top of mine by over tightening the screws that fasten the panels to the track. Just be mindful that you don’t get them past flush with the underside of the panels, it can be tempting to tighten them that far, as it’s not difficult to do. I also had similar problems to everyone else with the expansion screws in the sled track. The heads on those strip easily, but not before mitigating 98% of the side to side play. I’m kind of giving Incra a pass on that, because it’s not something I’ll have to revisit/readjust, you can’t really move the sled to another saw anyway, unless you purchase new panels, as they are cut to fit during setup. I’m giving it 5 stars, because I believe it has greatly increased my cross cut capacity and accuracy, and has given me a more accurate miter solution than I’ve ever really had. It’s really taken my job site saw into a level of accuracy that they aren’t even designed for. There is a safety element to being able to lock down your work quickly, without a bunch of fuss. It really helps you keep clear of the blade. I’ve even been able to get rid of some significantly bulkier jigs I had laying around my shop. I will definitely be purchasing another (sled only) when I upgrade to a Cabinet or contractor saw. If you’re worried about the definition of the “SE” miter gauge, don’t. It’s pretty easy to dial in a setting other than what the hard stops make available to you. While expensive, I find it to be a very well thought out product. It rarely leaves my saw unless I’m doing work with the saw’s fence.

Beautiful Piece of Work
I bought this for a Dewalt Job Site Portable table saw. Why? Well, my house got killed by hurricane Florence. So it is now a job site, not a home. And I needed a portable table saw to rebuild. I wanted a miter with a sled because I need to make repetitious cuts for every cabinet face frame, window and door trim, base molding, you name it, it all has to be replaced. And it actually worked great on my saw. Set up takes a little bit of time but the instructions are clear and well organized. The quality is amazing. The pieces all fit together like a fine puzzle. Ripping the board with your saw is a nail biter but now my Incra is custom fit for my saw. Forever. You can read the rest about stops and micro adjusting the gauge and the tracks - yes, it all works exactly as advertised. The difference between this Incra and the gauge that came with the saw is.....well, embarrassing. I'm good.

Great Product with even better customer service!
After having and using this for 2 months, I can honestly say this is the most amazing miter gauge I have ever used. Getting that perfect 90 degree cut just right is fairly simple, even for wider sheet goods up to about 20". Hitting the 45's is very quick and it goes back to 90 with absolute accuracy! Mine was originally missing the non-slip strips that get attached to the underside, but a quick email to them met near immediate reply and they sent them right out. Amazing product with even better customer service. I would highly recommend Incra products after this experience.

Problematic for Dewalt 7491 saw
I have a Dewalt 7491 jobsite table saw; great saw by the way. Before ordering this I talked to Mark at Incra and knew going into it that this could be problematic for my saw. He explained how for some reason the newer model Dewalt and Bosch jobsite saws have wider than is typical miter slots. A few others commented on this thread about having problems adjusting the expansion rings to get it to fit in the miter slot. Mark told me to put some lithium grease on the bolt threads and the base of the expansion ring. While that certainly helped it did not take all the wiggle out of the miter gauge. Two of the three were snug but the one closest to the miter gauge remained loose. I think I rounded out the Allen key slot trying to tighten it as now I cannot even insert the key into the bolt. I had to put two pieces of painter’s tape on the side of that adjustment ring to get a snug fit and it does ok. Now the miter sled has a different expansion mechanism- tighten down a bolt and it just spreads the edges of the bar that sits in the miter slot. Once again- two got snug and the third maxed out with some wiggle in it- used a piece of painters tape again and it took out the wiggle. However, I encountered another problem. The sled catches sometimes about half way through the miter slot- I mean stops- takes a push that causes the miter sled to jerk forward. It is terribly inconsistent though - sometimes it catches sometimes it slides right through. Must be a narrow spot in the miter slot. Again, I don’t fault Incra for this, it’s the Dewalt miter slot. It is still usable and should perform its function. I will have to keep an eye on when the tape needs replaced. Will have to wait and see what frustrations, if any the miter sled catching will cause. I will do a follow up review after I’ve used it for an upcoming project (15 foot long entertainment center). Have to say I am disappointed. I thought a high quality brand like Dewalt would pair up well with a well known brand like Incra. Why Dewalt made the miter slot wide makes little sense- the miter gauge that came with the saw rattles side to side a good 1/16 of an inch- so it’s not like they don’t know there is something up with those mitter slots.Edit added 1/11/2020. I have since sold the Dewalt 7491 (great saw by the way) and bought a SawStop cabinet saw. This incra miter sled works great on this saw. I’ve made stiles and rails for door frames, ends and sides for drawers and the consistency is wonderful. The bolts to tighten the miter bars are a pain in the behind and they do strip out easily if you have to crank on them. The closer the miter slot is to 3/4 inch the less of a problem that it is. The saw stop miter slot is almost dead on 3/4 inch and only requires a turn and part of another to get the slop out of the sled bars.
