Couldn't put it down
I read this whole book in 2 days. I love the storyline and all, but I thought it was rushed. There were a few chapters that could have been elaborated on to make it even better. I won't spoil the story with any details. But I do look forward to reading the second book in the series!

Kyle and Kelsey
I loved their story. I wish they did not have to do the challenges. That’s different then most true mate stories I have read which sets this apart from others. It is a fabulous read. Make sure to read with your favorite ice cream.

It was okay book, but it took me a while to read this one. It could have had more passion in it..I hope the author doesn't mind me using a highlight from her book...
My eyes teared up and I laughed walking straight into his arms and hugging him tight. I opened our bond but purposefully kept my mind blank. I was overwhelmed with our combined emotions and started crying uncontrollably. I suspected this new sensation was going to be sticking around for the duration of this pregnancy. “I'm sorry. I wanted to surprise you, not terrify you. I-I-I mean, I'm a bit terrified and excited and nervous and…” He silenced me with a kiss that I felt radiate through my entire body all the way down to my toes. Knowing his entire family was waiting just down the hall, I didn't encourage him further, so when the kiss ended I stepped back out of his reach and took a deep breath before handing him the gift bag I had shown Elise just that morning, only now it contained a few baby items I had added in, including a little onesie that said “My Dad Rocks” with a guitar on it. Kyle pulled out each item setting it on his desk until he finally pulled out the pregnancy stick. I held my breath waiting for some sort of reaction. I tried to reach through the bond, but he had locked me out. My heart flopped into my stomach and I thought I was going to be sick. This wasn't at all how I thought this would go. He plopped down into the chair behind his desk, and clasping his hands behind his neck, he lowered his head between his knees, like the entire world was spinning out of control around him. With a deep breath, he finally spoke. “This is real?” “Y-y-yes,” a squeaked out in a stutter preparing to apologize. “Not some sort of sick joke, you're serious? You're pregnant?” He still wasn't looking at me. “I'd never joke about something like this, Kyle.” I said softly and sadly prepared myself for the apology speech I had planned should he not be happy about the news. “Look, I know we've never talked…” He cut me off as his head shot up and his face was practically glowing with the biggest grin I'd ever seen. He let down the wall between our bond and immediately emotions washed over me. Happiness. Joy. Love. And I knew everything was going to be okay. He picked me up and swung me through the air as I laughed with tears streaming down my face. He kissed me sweetly before dropping to his knees and kissing my belly over and over. “I love you. You hear that, in there? And I love your beautiful mother too.” As we rejoined the others, Elise silenced everyone. She was beaming. Kyle looked at me and back at his sister. You told Elise first? Who do you think convinced me to keep it from you and torture you all day? I playfully grinned and winked at my gorgeous mate who looked happier than I ever imagined possible. He chuckled, Thank you. It's good to see my sister again. “Mom, Kyle's doing that mind thing with Kelsey again.” Chase whined. “Kyle, no bonding talk during family dinner. You know the rules.” His mother scolded him like a small child. Jason laughed, “Share it with the family or sit down and let's eat already.” “We're having a baby!” He blurted out to all our family as cheers erupted throughout the room.

For Paranormal Romance Readers Who Really Like Shifter Books
I ran across One True Mate while browsing other Paranormal Romance Kindle books and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I took the chance. This is Kelsey and Kyle's story. Kelsey has been on her on since she was twelve and both her parents were killed by werewolves and she almost faced the same fate. She has never stayed any one place very long as she has always been a loner due to her traumatic past and the injury she occurred that night that has made her feel that a monster lives inside her. While travelling around she passes thru the small town of San Marcos and finally feels safe and decides to stay for a while. If she keeps her head down, stays to herself, and can find a job, she may be able to stay at the first place that gives her a calmness and feels like home.Kyle Weston is the future Alpha of the Westin pack of San Marcos. As soon as Kyle gets a whiff of Kelsey's scent he knows she is special and what he has been waiting many years to come into his life. He can't believe it when Kelsey is hired to work for him as his personal assistant by his sister at their family enterprise. He is immediately aware she is his perfect mate, whom he wishes to spend the rest of his life with but feels rejected when Kelsey shows no signs of returning his feelings and repeatedly rejects any attempts he makes for anything outside their professional work relationship for 2 years. He doesn't understand what is going on with Kelsey but knows that finding one's true mate is so rare he is determined to make sure to give her the time she needs to recognize him as her mate and solve the mystery of what happened to her in the past. How much longer can Kyle bear to wait for Kelsey to come around? Will Kelsey open up or admit her feelings for Kyle or will she decide to run again to keep everyone safe from the monster inside her? What really happened to Kelsey when she she was twelve? Can Kyle help save her from herself and from the others that mean to do her harm? Read it!

awesome!!
I really enjoyed this book, I need more! I think I have discovered a new genre , it was a good story if your not into heavy sex scenes then you will really enjoy but if you do , you might wish for more erotica however the story is still entertaining I think to still satisfy .

Not my favourite.
Ok, so I feel like even 4 stars is pretty generous at this point. If there was a way to rate it 3.5 I would have.I know this is Julie's first ever book but there was an underlying 'thing' that i did not like.I on't like spoilers but I feel like I am going to be dropping a few because you need to know some stuff to really get it.Firstly the hero, was not as much of an alpha as I would have liked. He was waaaaaay to freaking easily emotional and blushed also there was kissing with other woman as to not hurt their feelings. For a couple of true mates, I don't understand how he waited two years before he actually confronted the heroine! I am all for a man who loves his woman and will have emotions with her but I just felt like he wasn't my favourite. The heroine was a lot, she thinks she is a monster and doesn't realise that shifters a thing and she is n't the only one. She didn't irritate me too much as she was actually pretty confident within herself. There was a little bit of really, unbelievable things that happen that I was not sure i was happy with but I think that because of the ending I felt better with the book. Ultimately the ending is what saved this book a little but more for me.The problem is that I've read the blurb for the next book and I will probably be avoiding that one too. I am willing to give the author another go but maybe one of her other books. Her writing style isn't actually all the bad, I think I just don't love it as much as I would have wanted to.

Absolutely loved this read
Omg I devoured this book, it’s a bloody amazing start to a series and I can’t wait to read book 2.Kelsey has a secret, one she has worked tirelessly for 10 years to keep hidden but a move to a new place suddenly makes her feel like she’s home. When Kelsey meets Kyle it should have been simple, recognition should have allowed Kyle to act immediately but Kelsey’s lack of interest puts things in a different perspective and causes Kyle to slow down. Will he ever be able to act on his feelings toward his one true mate?Loved the story, plot, characters. I thoroughly enjoyed all the little twists and turns, lots of angst, some very beautiful moments, some very sexy moments, and overall a fabulous sense of family. Highly recommend to all shifter lovers!!!

I really enjoyed it
Kelsey’s been running for her life for as long as she can remember and when she finally settles in one place, she’ll find she’s not the only one harbouring a secret. This book has been on my wish list for some time and I’m glad I finally decided to give it a go. I love a good shifter story and that’s exactly what this is. There are elements of the story that set it apart from the other fated mate stories I’ve read and that’s always a good thing. I love the fact that Kelsey isn’t so much fighting the bond itself as she is fighting herself and her attraction for her boss. It’s very humanising, but then that’s no real surprise given the character’s upbringing. Watching Kyle and the Westin pack react to her is also enjoyable as they can’t work Kelsey out. They have no idea why she’s being so disrespectful, though they soon begin to suspect. Thankfully Kyle makes sure she lives long enough to explain everything, though that explanation isn’t quick in coming. It’s the nuances of the story that I love the most. Like the fact that Kelsey builds herself a den in the basement of her home; I’ve not seen that before. There’s only really one thing that stopped me from rating this book higher and that’s the writer occasionally repeats themselves rather unnecessarily and in it at least one place they seem to contradict what they wrote earlier. I enjoyed the overall story so much though, that in the end I didn’t let that get me down. It’s a very enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to the continuation of Elise’s story in book 2.

Probably my favorite book ever!
This book is so well written and once I start reading it I just can't stop till it's finished. I love that they come from different backgrounds and upbringing and how it molds then into who they are and their relationship. Every time I read their story it's like I can picture it in mind the whole way through and know the people as if they was real.Definitely recommend if you enjoy shifter stories with a NEWJulie Trettel is a fantastic author and I love reading all her shifter books. (Think I have easily read them all at least ten times each) Huge fan.

Enjoyable read.
This book I had sitting on my kindle for a while unread and thought it's about time to give it a go!Its about a young women Kelsey who has been dealt a rough hand in life . When she was little her parents were killed and she was attacked by wolves leaving her an orphan growing up in and out of care homes until she comes of age.She moves to a area that's feels calming to her, but trys to keep herself to herself because she feels she is a monster because of what she turns into. But fate has other ideas when she meets the Westin family especially Kyle. There is good "clean" tension building between the two through the book.
