Consistent
Works like a charm, great results after a few months use. Relatively lightweight compared to other tools that I have used in the past.

Does everything it is supposed to do.
Good tool, easy to use, well balanced. Coming in at just over 8 lbs it sounds heavy but it is so well balanced it feels lighter than that. Aluminum nail tube is light and strong, the air chuck is offset to keep the air hose off to the side and out of your way. Heavy duty metal belt clip is reversible for left or correct handed users. I fired over 1,000 nails with ZERO issues. Keyless depth adjustment is nice also. Stop scrolling and buy this framing nailer.

Works good but no owners manual or warranty card in the cheap cardboard box
First Makita product I have ever purchased and Im surprised that there was no owners manual, no warranty card, nothing in the box except the nailer. The box was also made of cheap wavy cardboard that basically ripped apart completely when opening the product. Kind of weird. Apart from that the nailer has performed flawlessly zero issues. Only negative is that it safety stops when you get to about 5 nails in the strip so you have to add more nails for it to work so you never actually get to finish up the full strip.

Makita Power!
So, I am not a framer, but some jobs call for some framing. I had an old Porter Cable and it finally died in the middle of a job. It had already been repaired a couple of times so it was time for the graveyard. Saw this Makita on sale and took a chance as I am a big Makita fan. At first it seemed big and heavy but then I got used to it and love it. Yes dragging a hose sucks but not as bad as the price of a new Paslode! Good nail capacity and it ended up having several guys use it without breaking it. Everyone liked it. One guy said it was a little to big but if a 59 year old man can handle it then so can you. That being said, I am not banging that thing all day. But I did find the more I used it I got use to the weight and realized it is well balanced when you let it fly. And the price is right.

Awesome product!
Great light weight nail gun and the head on it grabs lumber really well. Put a few thousand nails through it now and no issues

Disappointed and Returned Due to Leaky Air Connection
I really wanted to like this Makita framing nailer, but I had to return it after just a couple of uses. The main issue was a persistent air leak. It was more noticeable whenever the nailer was hanging on a joist with a hissing sound that kept the compressor cycling even when no tools were in use. It was frustrating and felt unreliable on the job. In contrast, I bought a Porter Cable framing nailer and the difference was telling. The Porter Cable was noticeably lighter, didn’t leak at all, and even had an adjustable air exhaust blowout which is something I didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate until I tried it. After that experience, I wouldn’t buy the Makita framing nailer again. For the price and Makita’s reputation, I expected better quality control. If you’re considering this model, I’d strongly recommend looking at other brands first.

Great Framing Nailer
I grew up in construction and have used several brands. I picked this one up to complete my shop this year. As expected, solid design, easy to use and I am sure will last me many many years. I have never used the cordless products: Nailers, Saws, etc but can see they remove the complexity of keeping your hoses from tangling up with you and your project. If I ever tackle a big project again, I may go cordless but this one will do me well for the foreseeable future
