I bought them for their beauty, but they are not as durable as the Ball hinge brand. Not worth the price. I have only hand washed them and only use these jars for storage not pressure canning and they chip and crack where the lip for the hind is. I threw 2 of the 4 in the trash because I don’t want to risk glass in any product. Disappointed.

I sought these out because I had one that I use for sugar cubes in my home bar. These are airtight with a hinge mechanism that is much higher quality than competitors. They are not inexpensive but will last a very long time. I am using them for various spices and I know that they will keep them airtight. The really big selling point with this brand is the hinge mechanism. Very heavy duty and will withstand many years of reliable use. Highly recommended.

Used the largest sizes of these glass terrines to replace plastic containers for sugars, couscous, quinoa, nuts, etc. on a shelf in my too-small pantry. I have the same number of containers but this stack and apparently have a smaller footprint than what I was previously using. Now there is room in front for smaller items. I can now see what I have and see exactly what I need so I am not buying duplicates of items. Bought a few extra just in case and they hold a soup and keep crackers fresh. Keep finding new uses for them. And they look great.

Looks nice with my dry goods in as I open my pantry. Very strong and yes I dropped one and it did not break, it was on a rug over concrete. Very happy.

I keep buying these due to their incredible versatility. From pickling my own foods, using as salad meal prep for the week, or re-packaging goods that are sold in bags (esp from Asian markets) or flimsy plastic containers (like the kosher pickles from my local deli) for fridge storage, these guys do the trick. I like the wide mouth being the same width as the jar itself for content access and easy cleaning.

I've had two now and the glass chips off where the latch is, jar portion. These jars are too expensive to keep replacing. Not to mention having to throw out the food in them.

They are sturdy and easy to handle and clean. The glass are thick and the hardware seems to be of good materials. The design of the jar is attractive. However, we bought these to put Korean kimchi in. They contains the kimchi OK. However, while the juice from the fermented cabbage does not leak out, the glass jars can't contain the order of kimchi. These are probably OK for other things, but do not expect to keep the smell in check. If you have some thing with strong odor, look for a different design. I docked one star just for that.

I like to keep dry goods in glass containers. I have bought six or seven of these over the last several years. I have stored pasta, rice, and dried fruit in these Le Parfait Canisters. The gasket quality is good and they seal airtight. I also have a very small kitchen and these glass canisters stack quite securely. Really good quality. I highly recommend them.
