Baby Mushroom DIY Soap Making Kit - Arts and Crafts for Girls with Silicone Molds & Gift Boxes

I purchased this particular set for a birthday present since the silicone mold is reusable mold and the designs seemed more desirable for older girls. Upon opening the kit I noticed the mold was of baby animals more suited for the preference of littler kids. I contacted the seller who quickly responded apologizing for the mistake saying it was an older set and would immediately send out the correct mold. I received the new mold within five days with a personal handwritten thank you/apology note from the owner of the company. New mold in hand we were ready to make some soaps. This is a good complete set for a beginner soap maker. The apple and jasmine essential oils smell very pleasant. Plan on purchasing extra soap base as there is enough glitter and oils to make more. With some adult assistance my daughter enjoyed making these soaps, which she plans to five to friends and teachers.

We got all as shown in the description however we ended up making 7 soaps, maybe if we made them smaller we could do 10 but if filled to top of the mold we got less, otherwise everything was great.

We just received this today. My kids were so excited that they tore into the box and we made the soaps right away. They loved it and so did I! They were super simple to make and it was so fun that they could add glitter, fragrance and lavender. The silicone molds were so adorable too and worked really well. After just 30 minutes, we popped the soaps out and they had molded perfectly. Also included in the kit were boxes and little bags that you could put the soaps in if you wanted to give them as gifts. A lot of thought was clearly put into this craft. The box says for Ages 12+ but my kids are 4 and 6 and had no problem doing it. The only thing that I did was warm up the base in the microwave. Other than that, they were able to do everything themselves. We plan to use our soaps tonight at bath time and the girls are super excited. I highly recommend this product.

Did this with my niece and she loved it! The glitter and the plastic unicorns got her very excited. It didn’t smell bad, but I definitely would’ve preferred using my own essential oils.

The directions seemed easy enough to follow. I didn’t particular like having to heat up the substance for 20 mins. Anyway, we followed the instructions and left it to harden for an hour. But it remained liquid. Even after putting it in the fridge. It was a lot of hassle so we haven’t tried doing it again. Scents were good.

My granddaughter loved it but could add more ingredients to make more than 3 soaps.

Bought this kit to do with the grandchildren ages three and six. They loved it. We had a lot of fun. Easy to follow.

I bought this kit for my 8 year old niece who lives in a different state. Firstly, no where in the description or on the product images does it say that it's for ages 12+. The item description shows that the age range is "Baby". But the back of the actual box says "12+". That would be a minor issue if it weren't for the fact that the product images show that you can make different colored soaps. HOWEVER, the product doesn't come with any colors. My sister called me to ask about how to color it. She said that the colored packets are glitter. She's never made soaps before. I ended up having to order some colors and have it sent to them overnight. It's probably not a good idea to put glitter in soap anyway. You wouldn't want that getting into the eyes. There are plenty of other soap making kits for kids out there. I've bought 2 other kits for other kids and they're good. Don't waste your money on this one.
