Arduino users asked for a Shield with just a bunch of soldering pads. This is the right Protoboard Shield as it offers over 300 soldering pads to create your own Arduino project in a single shield. This Shield includes a section with 2mm spaced PADS for soldering XBEE compatible headers and components. Only the PCB is included so you will need some additional headers. Description of the different areas of the Protoboard shield: Headers section to plug the shield to the Arduino board. Includes a second row of headers to have easy access to each pin on the Arduino. ICSP header section Reset switch section. This is very useful to reset your arduino board during project development without having to unplug the shield SOIC8 SMD pad section. This SOIC pad is located just on top of the USB connector section of the Arduino board to avoid having through hole pads that can expose soldered pads touching with the USB metal shielding on the Arduino board 2.54mm or 0.1" spaced soldering PADS to locate all the through hole components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc) you need for your project 2mm spaced soldering PADS to locate XBEE compatible headers and components
