Chimes sound a little mechanical, but nice clock for the price.Update 7 months later. The chimes are acting up, the 6am chime repeats itself and has a continuing buzz.AND DO NOT PURCHASE A SQUARE TRADE EXTENDED WARRANTY IT IS A RIPOFF AND WASTE. Shame on you Amazon for allowing it.

First, I was surprised at the weight of the box when I got it off my porch. I took the clock out and weighed it... it came in at 1.6 pounds. EVERYTHING is made of PLASTIC. VERY CHEAPLY MADE. The chimes are extremely tin sounding and sad. I could have bought this piece of crap at Walmart for a forth of what I paid for it. DO NOT BUY!!!

I like the appearance. It looks like a standard regulator but it has a very attractive copper colored frame. It is easy to set up. On the hour, it plays what I think is called the Westminster tune and then rings the hour. The sound only occurs during the day. It can be shut off entirely to just function as a wall clock.

Beautiful clock, super instructions for inserting batteries included and for setting the clock chime. Not too heavy to hang on the wall either.

I love the fact that the numbers are large and easy to see. The melody is beautiful and I love the chimes on the hour. I chose the bronze color and it is very pretty and goes very nice in the living room. I absolutely love the clock!

I like the clock. It doesn't look very expensive but for the price I paid, it is not bad. I love the chimes. It keeps the time accurately.

Very hard to set chimes. Directions say " DO NOT PUT BATTERIES IN MELODY BLOCK" There are two places to place batteries. WHICH ONE IS THE MELODY BLOCK? I would not recommend this clock. TRY THE BEDFORD
