Outside is nice, but inside is pretty cheap with thin padding
Fits weird on me - snug around the crown of my head but super loose on the bottom half of my head, like it just needs thicker padding. But they don't offer different pads. And the ones from the other sizes won't fit according to Racequip. I went by their size chart, I'm a 7 1/4 hat size so I got a medium. For reference the Arai long-oval shape in medium fits me perfectly. I've had 9 helmets before this one, both car and motorcycle, from shoei, arai, bell, and kbc, most in medium and two in large, and I've never had one fit this loose before. When I called Racequip about padding options they were argumentative and apparently do not want to accept that some people have different head shapes - they kept telling me to just go down a size even though the crown is already tight on me, and that is what defines helmet size. They said that the helmet was certified only with the pads that came with it, which seems odd since all my other snell helmets have different padding options available. The cheek pads aren't even as thick as the adjacent hard styrofoam , so I don't know how it could really fit anyone properly. I suspect they just made it very wide around the base to fit that last 5 percentile of potential head shapes so they wouldn't get returns. Also I'm not sure how this helmet passed the roll-off test...it's like the strap is located too far aft so it doesn't tighten up as the helmet is rolled backwards - I can roll the chin of this helmet above eye-level before the strap restricts it. The strap isn't padded in the middle either so you can't wear it very tightly without rubbing your throat raw.Above all I like how it looks from the outside, but inside it looks and feels like a super cheap helmet. At least it's SA2015 compliant!Edit 4/12/16 -Got a Pyrotect Prosport in medium to replace this helmet, and it is WORLDS better. The attached pic says it all (Racequip on left, Pyrotect on right) - tons more padding. The Pyrotect actually fits and feels like one of my high-end motorcycle helmets. They also say all the pads from their other sizes fit in case you need to adjust it. The chin strap is mounted an inch further forward so it works. $225 from the 24hrs of Lemons store. Do yourself a favor and go with Pyrotect!

Great Beginner Helmet
I bought this helmet to get started in HPDE, Autocross, and Karting. I'm a smaller guy, around 5'10" and 150lbs, with a pretty narrow head. The small fit me perfectly. There's plenty of padding around the cheek area so the helmet isn't flopping around all over the place. The strap is easy to engage and tighten. Visor moves smoothly. I didn't have any issues with fogging. It's pretty lightweight given the price, although it definitely looks a little bulky and round and not as slick looking as some of the more expensive options. If you just want a great value helmet that is comfortable, fits well, and will keep you alive, this might be it. It's not the best looking, it's not the lightest, and it doesn't have a ton of fancy features, but it's a great barebones beginner helmet and I'd recommend it to get started.

Great product, bad shipping
The helmet is perfect for my head and comfortable, the shipping was fast but the box was absolutely destroyed when I got it. It specifically says on the box "Not for shipping". The box is very thin cardboard and isn't even taped on the bottom. The box they shipped it in is only meant to keep on a shelf in a store or something. This would've gotten a 5 star review if not for the complete brainless idiot who decided not to put it in an actual cardboard shipping box that would've likely cost them like 20 cents. Thankfully the product wasn't scratched and nothing was missing (as far as I could tell) despite the fact that the box was completely opened on one side and the whole helmet could've just fallen out at any time.

Race Quip Helmet great fit!
Been looking for a good helmet that wouldnt break the bank and met all the necessary safety requrements for drag racing, This Racequip helmet looks really good, meets all safety statndards, and for agood price! At the begining of my purchase I was concerened cause of the slihgtly different reviews on sizes and how they may run small. I had absolutlety had no issues with my size L hemet, its comfortable, fits great, and looks great! Very pleased, my only complaint was the condition of the box upon delivery it was crushed in several corners but luckily no damage to the helmet.

Good budget helmet with weird fit, however it's fixable.
I got this XXL helmet through Amazon Warehouse Deals as an open box item at a discount. It appeared to have not been used but the box had been taped. I really like the helmet but the fit was weird. As stated by another reviewer, the cheek pads were too thin compared to the upper (crown) pads/foam causing the helmet to move around too much. I had to order the XL pads straight from RaceQuip for another $30 and the fit is much better, but minus 1 star for that. The XL pads are about 1/8in thicker and it made all the difference. I've only done one autocross event with the helmet but it worked great.

Clean, comfortable, and affordable. An excellent first helmet.
This helmet is excellent! It is very comfortable, easily adjustable, and provides a wide field of view for a full face model. It should be mentioned that it is an excellent value. This is the first racing helmet that I have personally purchased, and I believe it is a great choice for someone who is beginning to get into Motorsports. I use mine for Autocross and karting and it has been nothing but great. There are certainly lighter helmets on the market, but they will cost you. By no means is it heavy, though. Many people have commented that it is a great looking helmet as well—if that matters to you.

Good helmet track days
Good price for a good helmet. My only complaint would be that it seems a bit loose around my cheeks but I did order one size bigger than their chart said because I had borrowed an XL helmet at my first track day that fit perfect. Should have ordered the Large like the chart said but that error is on me.

Not for my head
Even though my head is XXL, I like to think it's normal size. After measuring using their sizing guide, the helmet didn't fit comfortably at all. Very tight around the cone of my head, and loose around the cheeks. Had to return it and buy one locally. It was super fast shipping, and looked very nice.

Great helmet
Great helmet, I bought it for drag racing at the track. Very much bang for the buck and this was one of the cheapest prices I could find “locally”

Best bang for your buck, and great looking!!
Best bang for your buck, good looks, comfort is ok. Don’t expect the comfort of a 1000$ helmet, but definitely a perfect helmet for a beginner

Racing Helmet for Tracking
No complaints. Helmet fits well and doing the job. Make sure you view the fitting guidelines. Doesn't overly fog up when visor is down. I drive with it up a bit anyway, so not a problem.
