Essential Medical Supply Deluxe Hand-Held Shower Spray

it is a lot of plastic, but hand tight water tight. no leaking on this product. Four words are required to finish this.

I purchased this for my 84 year old Mother along with the Spa Bath Tub Shower Chair Seat Bench after hernia surgery for her to be able to remain independent. She loves it! I can't afford a $3,000 walk in bathtub and the standard bath tub is too low for her to get out of comfortably. She uses this shower head with no problem and the chair seat. She called me after her first round and told me how much easier this shower spray and the shower chair has made her life. This was a much needed purchase!

It looks good hanging up there on the mount but when you turn the water on it leaks like a sieve. Practically every joint on the thing leaks. I had to put a washcloth over the mount to keep the water from spraying all over. I put teflon tape on the threads of the inlet pipe & it still leaks. The connection of the flex hose to the mount pours out water - it needs a gasket. They say put the one gasket on the connection to the spray head & that one doesn't leak but the gasket is too thick & too much of the threads show. I first put the gasket on the other end of the flex hose at the mount & it didn't leak but the spray head did. They need to send three thinner gaskets,. One for each end one for the mount to the pipe out of the wall.They don't tout this product as a water saver but the hole in the inlet is so small that the flow & pressure is barely acceptable until the pump comes on and the water pressure gets up to about 60 lbs psi. The head has 2 flow settings, maybe a 3rd if you put it half way between, but it also could use a shut-off like those in RV showers.I would send it back but the warranty is a joke. They require you to pay shipping both ways so the cost of shipping just about offsets the cost of the product. I doubt any replacement would be any better. I should have spent a little more & got one that works better.

I do like this product and needed it for my elderly mother. The only problem is that it has a life of its own when you remove it from the wall holder and happen to place it on the bottom of the tub. You can get quite wet outside the tub. It could be the water pressure but, as I have a well, we don't have great pressure. It's still much easier to wash those that have trouble washing themselves and helps immensely in clean-up, of course.

Great product, easy to install all you need is a vice grip or the proper size wrench. Stainless steel looks great with the tile background. It can reach every part of your body and bath area for efficiant cleaning. It has two controls strong pulse and heavy normal spray. Only complaint....I wish it had a shut off control on the shower head as a third option...Otherwise great product and a very fair price, arrived well before it should have through Amazon.

The following was writen after we bought this item on 1/1/2015:.....I looked at many shower heads before ordering this one. The head has a 2 3/4" diameter and has 3 different spray types. We were looking for a standard no fancy small head and dont need all those different sprays..What for anyway? I like to take the head in my hand when I wash my long hair like how the hairdresser does and this shower head is ideal. If you have dirty feet it is just so easy to clean your feet without completely showering. This shower head is just what we are used to in Europe. The grip feels good in your hand. Also I was looking for a stainless steel or chrome hose and not a cheap looking plastic that twists up. This hose fits the bill and is very long. The attachment section is also all metal so it doesn't look as if it can break easily where others have complaints. My husband fitted it and it doesn't leak anywhere. All in all just what we wanted..... NOW in February 2017 the holder for the spray head just broke off and the spray head lays on the floor of the shower! The holder is PLASTIC covered by a silver coating which looks like stainless steel but we see a white plastic interior now that the holder has broken. Considering that we use the home only 5 months per year and this item has been in use for a total of 11months...a terrible product.

Due to recent Knee Replacement Surgery, I Purchased this item to be used in conjunction with a tub/shower seat. Our original shower head was 40 years old so I had to purchase an arm adapter (also found on Amazon). The installation instructions were simple to follow and the shower spray was quickly installed. This has been wonderful to use during the knee replacement recovery. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this product for my mother-in-law's bathroom because she is disabled. I thought it would be perfect for her because of the extra length on the hose which is a great feature. She has to sit on a bench and not be standing so it would have been perfect. Unfortunately from the very second it was installed it leaked. There is a place on the hose where the company must have forgotten to put a washer and there is no way for a washer to be installed by the consumer in this particular spot on the hose. The hose leaks profusely at the top connection giving you #1- a leak and #2- lousy water pressure. Guess this is the sort of thing I should have gone to Home Depot for to make sure the quality was decent. Its also made of all plastic and then painted with silver so it would most likely chip off and then look like what it is (PLASTIC). Don't buy this product. Still Love Amazon- this is really a place where you can find anything your mind can think of.
