Great fin but the sizing is WAY off. Big problem. Had to order two sizes smaller. SEE UPDATE!
Well designed and well made BUT the sizing is WAY off. I'm a skinny triathlete and runner. I wear a 10.5 or 11 size running shoe. I ordered the 8.5 to 9 size (one size down) fin and it was loose. I could still swim with them and they didn't fall off, but they were moving around too much for my taste. They were too wide and too long. So I sent them back and ordered the next size down (two sizes smaller than what they recommend). I'll update the review when I test those. My previous fins were were some older heavy duty Speedo fins (very generic) and these are much better. I'm using these to enhance my swim workouts, gain some ankle flexibility and perfect my upper body form. No recreational use. They worked very well in the water doing laps and flip turns. Great quality. Perfect workout fin for my application. Certainly more of a workout fin than a scuba or diving fin. Highly recommend but you need to deal with the size problem.UPDATE TO SIZE: Okay...as noted earlier I had some sizing/fit issues. I sent the previous size back and ordered up the same fin in a U.S. size 7-8 (Euro 41/42) and they fit P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y!!!! Again, I wear a running shoe in a 10.5 or 11. I'm tall and skinny.

Super comfortable, good size, good workout
I bought these to replace a pair of Aqua Sphere Alpha fins I had had for ten years. I liked how light and soft they were (being made out of Croc material), but apparently they shrink in hot cars, and I swim before work and don't want to have to carry my swim bag in to the office with me, so as mine shrank, they gave me foot cramps until I could no longer jam my feet into them.I just tried out the new Cressi fins and I like them.COMFORT: The black rubber that holds your feet in the fin is very soft and comfortable. I wear a 10.5/11 US men's shoe, and I ordered the 43/44 fin, which is the right size for me. I don't have to strain to get them on, but they don't feel like they're going to slip off, and I had no trouble keeping them on during flip turns. Though your foot is surrounded by the soft black rubber for comfort, part of the stiff blue material extends under your foot, so they don't want to fold and slip off your foot. That's smart.PULL TABS: I'd never seen this on a fin before, but it's brilliant. The soft black rubber on the heel cup was surprisingly low on my heel. I thought this would make it more likely to slip off, but it didn't (see above). The black rubber is shaped into a little tab extending away from your heel. You can just grab the tab and pull your fin off, rather than have to snake a thumb into the heel cup to grip it.SIZE: The overall length of the Cressi is about the same as the Alpha fins, though the Cressis don't taper at the end. So they are a little more bulky in my swim bag, but still fit much better than full length SCUBA fins.WEIGHT: These are a little heavier than the Alpha fins, but hopefully will not shrink in my car. I still wouldn't say these are heavy fins.WORKOUT: Did not get foot cramps, and it felt like I was kicking from my hips rather than my knees, so I'd say they were good for training. I'm no longer a sprinter, so I'm not concerned with something that'll allow me to practice with a high kick count. I don't know if these would be good for that or not, but they were good for just plugging away doing laps with a kickboard or on my back, and they definitely weren't like floppy SCUBA fins where you have to kick super slowly while they flex.

Awesome Swim Fins.
I'm a very poor swimmer. I'm trying to teach myself to swim (at age 79) I purchased these to add some buoyancy to my legs thereby improving my kicking so I can relax and concentrate on my arm strokes and breathing.I saw they are "short" fins and was not sure they would do what I needed but, after reading several reviews, I figured I'd give them a try. Wow! These are awesome. They REALLY add buoyancy and amazingly smooth propulsion through the water with very little effort, whether on my back or stomach. They fit perfectly, are absolutely comfortable while swimming (or walking), are compact, well make and look' kool'.If in doubt, BUY 'EM! You'll like them. And yes, I would recommend these to a friend that I want to keep. :-)

10 Stars!
I love, love, love Cressi light fins. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They are far and away the best fins I've ever owned. I'm a 62 yo man swimming about 5k a week in the pool. These fins are ridiculously powerful. Much better then the Speedos I used to use for training. Kicking on my back I go faster than most people swimming crawl. They've improved my kick by teaching me to snap my lower leg effectively, so now I also swim faster without them. I have used them snorkeling in the ocean too, and they really are almost as good as big diving fins, so they would be perfect for travel. I would order one size smaller than your shoe size. They rubber is very stretchy and comfortable.

Great, comfortable fit and move the water without turbulence.
These are a great fit! I ordered my usual men's US shoe size. When I received them, I noticed the shoe size marked on the bottom was smaller than my US shoe size, but still matched the EU size I ordered. So, if you are ordering using the US size chart, use your usual size, note the EU size from your order, and if the EU size matches what you get, you'll be fine. These are really comfortable! When I tried them on at home, my toes overlapped the lip at the toe opening in a way that I was afraid would cause me problems. However, in the water, I never notice at all. It's like being barefoot (but really, really fast! ^^)The design works really well in the water. I've tried fins that kind of made my feet want to twist and create turbulence on a strong kick, but these never break the streamline.

Very comfortable and perfect for lap swimming
These Cressi fins are the third pair of swim fins I have owned and they are by far the best. I wear a size 10 shoe and ordered these fins in size 10 and they fit perfectly. I have a fairly wide foot and a high instep and this always have been a problem with the fit of for me in the past. The Cressi fins come on and off with minimum effort and are very comfortable once they are on. I wear them for lap swimming in a pool. They give your legs a very good workout. They also look great. I am extremely pleased with these fins.

Swim with them on - but be careful if you stand up in shallow pool!
Tried the swim fins yesterday = Disaster! (They are now packed up ready for return to Amazon!) During my usual 60 min sessions I do quite a few different things on my "to-do" list. Some 60%-75% necessitating me to stand by the end wall for 30secs (plus! Smile ) having a "breather" - and working out what I ought to do next (and better!) - before continuing. So I need to stand up for some 2 dozen times during a session. When I sat on the widening-fancy steps (which have support rails on each side) at the pool entrance, to put the fins on, I had no idea what was about to happen! I stepped down into the deeper water - and my feet shot from under me, there was no way that I could stand up in that 4ft+ uniform depth water - it was like standing on a surface slippery as ice! I flutter kicked on my back to the end wall - more "uncomfortable" - (thinking I would have little opportunity for any rest at all - just keep swimming all the time) - than I had ever been since my days of learning to swim at 21. I tried to stand up again - no go - so got out (after a major struggle "inching" my way along to reach the end of pool conventional ladder) - and bid farewell to my attempts at using those fins! The reason for the underside of the fins poor contact with the pool floor was apparent on examination. The undersides had 2 ridges (rather like car window ice scrapers) extending from the underside of the foot pocket, diminishing in height until the ridges merged with with the flatter toe end of the fins. No wonder it was difficult, or next to impossible in my case, to keep ones balance while standing on the "ice-scraper" edges. Let's face it - swim fins are meant to be used while swimming - not standing or tramping around! I don't suppose for one moment that the floor of the DWfitness club 20m leisure pool I use is much different from that of other pools. Ah well, that was another idea that crashed out! Fantastic training fins
Brought these mainly for the pool. I am size 8 and went for the 7/8 (41/42) size - and they fit perfectly. They are painful only on my THIGHS - which means as a training aid they are doing what they are suppose to.As a training aid, when I then take them off and use my own strength, I have found they have really improved my previous lazy kicking. The only slight negative is that they are negative buoyancy (they sink) - in the pool this won't be a problem, in the sea...well just hope I don't drop them - but not going to knock a star off just for that as these are training fins, not pucker diving fins.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit. I'm a size 6 so ordered a size 5.5-6.5 (39/40) The rubber shoe part would allow for a larger foot (6.5 UK) as it can stretch. I think a smaller foot (5.5 UK) would struggle to keep the fin on when swimming at a fast pace, so advisable to buy a smaller size.Have used in the pool for a training session and they felt secure on my feet even when swimming hard.Fins are flexible and not rigid so fits in my swim bag.Comes in a clear plastic bag which will need to be replaced with a proper fin bag eventfully.

Cressi Light S Swim Fins!! Look nice on first view!! Need time to try them out!!!π€π€
Cressi Light Short Swimming Fins in blue, They arrived fine but there is to much plastic with a plastic insert to keep the foot form of the fine as well as a plastic bag labelled Cressi both could be replaced with cardboard to the help reduce plastic on the environment and save the planet as these items will never be used again!! π€π€Ok to the review of the product unfortunately I have not been to use the fins in the open water, however they fit very well I'm a size 11 ordered 10-11 and they fit nice and snug, the size of the fins is a nice size not to big just perfect for swimming front crawl, colour of blue and black is very niceππ !! So people I will get around to using them and try and give an update when I do so!! I cant wait!! πββοΈπββοΈπππββοΈπββοΈ

Size 2.5 - 3.5 but much too small so giving 2 stars as had to return
I am a size 3 and my toes came out over the rim of the foot area by over half an inch. Had to return. For clarification for people trying to decide on which fins, these are very short, the sort of thing you would use to exercise in a pool. You could definitely use them for swimming on a beach for a little extra speed or for exercise, or for short snorkelling expeditions, but for a long snorkelling session these would require a lot of work so would not be very relaxing. Also, for a scuba dive, because you do not get the extra and easy propulsion of longer fins, you would consume your tank of oxygen much more quickly which means less bottom time. Apart from the sizing, they seem sturdy and well-made.
