Pokémon TCG: Mew VMAX League Battle Deck (60 cards Ready to Play Deck, 4 Foil V Cards & 2 Foil VMAX Cards)

This has been a great pack for my grandson, who loves Mew. He has done very well with it. However if playing Pokémon TCG it’s worth knowing that every year Pokémon take a generation of cards and retire them. Currently each year has a letter of the alphabet. The most recent letter is G, which all the new cards currently have ( it will change back end of this year).. Last week almost every card with an E was retired from competitive play, with just a few exceptions. F is still usable, but will be rotated out about next Easter (2025). This makes no difference at all if you collect the cards for the artwork, or just as a collection, but makes a big difference if you are playing competitively as many of these cards went out of play in the rotation this week, making this set not such great value for competitive players.

Genuine cards, good quality

I purchased this alongside the Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR League Battle Deck, all the contents were inside and unharmed during shipment and once opened I had a quick battle with my Son prior to reading the included pamphlet which advises on the best way to further upgrade this deck to make it even better in the competitive scene.Looking at the recent Meta within the Pokemon TCG, you would be best purchasing 2 of these and combining some of the pokemon, however, please note as of the next Pokemon TCG rotation cards stamped with the letter "E" will no longer be valid for the standard format, of which alot of these cards have this stamp.It is unknown when the next rotation will be but it isn't expect until 2024.

Was given as a gift, recipient was pleased with item

This deck has a lot of the cards very commonly used in competitive Mew V decks. You'll still need to supplement it with some extra cards, such as additional Mew V, Mew VMAX and Genesect Vs and a few changes to the supporter and item cards to truly optimise it for competitive play, but as a starting point it's fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone looking to build a Mew V deck.

The cards are awesome nothing was damaged minus box

This deck is amazing straight out of the box, wasn't massively affected by the recent block rotation so is easy to update, but... Your opponents will not have fun playing against you unless you're in a competitive setting. Great for tournaments, but wouldn't recommend it against friends/family for general play.

Brilliant deck for someone wanting to learn a more competitive deck! It’s a very complex yet effective deck.
