Google Nexus 7 2013 Case, Fintie [Slim] Lightweight Smart Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep for Google Nexus 7 2013 (2nd Generation FHD) / Nexus 7 4G LTE Tablet by ASUS - Black

Case: I've bought a FinTie Case for my 1st Gen Nexus and had it for more than a year - and it's still held up. This case for my 2nd Gen Nexus 7 I can see being no different. The case seems to be made of lighter material, but just as sturdy as it's predecessor. It has all the little cut outs that it's supposed to, like the camera / little known indicator light / rear camera / speakers / power and volume buttons / stereo jack / and mini USB port. The only thing I wish would be that the power and volume buttons were easier to get to. It seems as though that in order to square up the case and provide sufficient protection to the nexus 7 (2013 model), the power and volume buttons seem a little far away - but this is certainly no reason not to get it. Also, the case is snug on the Nexus 7, but still allows a little play room - even when you try to make it as tight a fit as possible (tight as the Velcro will push it back to).Cost - I got this when it was a penny! (+ 4.99 shipping, but hey! That's still great for me!) Can't beat that!Customer Service - Fantastic. I thought for sure I got a defective case when the wake function didn't work properly. I would close the lid and it would go to sleep just fine. I would open the lid and it would sometimes wake back up... and sometimes not. They immediately sent me another after I let them know and I tried that case out. Turns out that currently, the Nexus 7 (2013) is in need of a hardware update to fix an internal issue. You can get it to work if you have a app (for instance - Google Music) open and full screen... and put it to sleep... and then open it back up. Also - reading thru some of the amazon comments - it turns out that if you leave your wifi on, it will also wake on demand as expected. So - Nexus 7 (2012) had a screen touch issue... Nexus 7 (2013) has a sleep/wake issue... at least I know Google will fix it soon - but the case is Great!Overall - would I buy this case again knowing what I know now? Yes! Why? Cost & Quality. Best bang for buck. Best handle of device while protecting from accidental slips/trips/falls.

The Nexus 7 2013 version of the Fintie Folio case is great but can be made better. It isn't as great as their Kindle Paperwhilte and Nexus 7 2012 variants - there are some design changes from the Nexus 7 2012 variant which make this case a bit difficult to use (at least for me). I was a fan of these (especially the Paperwhite case) so had more hopes from this case.One, I felt this case added a lot of bulk to the device. Unlike the 2012 or the Paperwhite variants which stayed out of the way. The case added bulk and also "felt" like it added length.Two, this case makes the buttons very difficult to reach. You can reach by tilting the device, but it's not convenient.Three, when you fold the case there's a bit that sticks out on the left side. It's part of the folding mechanism of the case, I think, but it's inconvenient because the device feels wider now. And if I push it in, it comes out from the right side, so the only way to work properly is to push it in but let it hang out from the middle. That's fine, but doesn't feel very great and I was conscious of doing that.For the Nexus 7 2013 I would recommend the MoKo Slim-Fit case. Arrived very quickly after purchase. Have been using it for three days, and I am mostly impressed.The fit is fine. All ports and controls easily accommodated. Magnetized cover does hold very will, no danger of it opening inadvertantly. Which brings me to my first bit of criticism. The on/off switch controlled by the magnets is very finicky. Away from home, I oftern have to use the power button to get a screen. My first thought was it might be the effect of chilly air. Perhaps, but I do not live in a cold climate. San Francisco gets cool at night, but seldom really cold. Whatever the cause the on/off is not reliable.Second bit of criticism: Setting it up for hands free viewing is easy enough. The tab on the back holds the folded edge of the cover and you set it either up for viewing or down for typing. I think the tab is likely to get very loose over tiime, and the stability of the stand in Landscape mode is a bit iffy even now.But, overall, a good case. Lighter in weight and far less bulky than I expected. And as of this writing 7/6/2013 still available,in black for a mere penny plus delivery. Which makes this a great bargain, that I do recommend.

I have loved this case until one of the two little magnets fell out and was lost. Now the closing isn't as secure and the 2nd magnet keeps falling out, too. It's still very usable even without the magnets, but the top cover flops around a little. I'm going to try to glue the remaining magnet into the little slot where it belongs. I have no problem using any of the buttons. I like the feel of the case. I use the folding part to hold the tablet in my hand sometimes and like the "velvet" lining. My husband has the same exact tablet but bought a different case that makes his tablet much thicker and heavier so I really like this case compared to his. I've never dropped my tablet so I can't say how it would perform in that case.

La funda que aparece el las imágenes no se corresponde con la funda que me llegó, en la de las imágenes aparece una funda que se sujeta al Tablet con un "click" tipo carcasa, dejando todo el frontal del nexus libre, sin embargo en la funda que me llegó el nexus se sujeta a la funda a través de los bordes de piel sintética que ocupan casi todo el perfil del tablet, he visto bastantes de estos a menor precio y me decanté por este precisamente por que no era de este tipo de funda, aún siendo bastante mas caro, así que he tenido que devolverlo.además de esto la funda es da bastante mala calidad.
