Read this book if you want to learn how to eat to live your best life
Dr Bobby Price's book Vegucation Over Medication was eye opening on so many levels. I'm always been a person who has tried to eat what I considered a relatively healthy diet, admittedly with lots of bad habits thrown in.As a yoga teacher I use asana and breathwork to purify my body and meditation to purify my mind. But while reading Vegucation Over Medication I realized I've been hustling backwards. I was poisoning my body with the foods I was eating. My love of dairy was causing mucus production in my body as well as many of my sinus issues. The meat I so loved is pumped with hormones, antibiotics and carcinogens. And even a lot of the healthy 'vegetables' I was consuming are genetically modified or covered in cancer causing chemicals. Fruits have seeds. But it is difficult to find grapes or watermelon with seeds. Trust me. I love watermelon in the Summer and can't find a watermelon with seeds at my neighborhood Whole Foods. I have to drive 30 minutes to the Farmer's Market.Dr. Price writes in a matter of fact style that is easy to understand. Vegucation Over Medication is a quick read. No fluff. Just chock full of information. It addresses genetics vs family tradition. Dietary causes to common illnesses like heart disease, cancer and diabetes and how to cure yourself with food.After reading Vegucation Over Medication I decided to give a plant based lifestyle a shot. I jumpstarted the shift with Dr. Price's 30 day cleanse, complete with 32 ounces of both the Parasite Candida Cleanse and Tummy Teatox teas daily. It cleanses the body of accumulated toxins from the (SAD) Standard American diet and environmental toxins.I just completed the 30 days and feel amazing! I feel clear, focused and energized. I have no immediate plans to return to a non plant based lifestyle. It has been a paradigm shift to realize a lot of my favorite foods were slowly killing me. That sounds extreme. But it's not. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt my dietary choices were negatively affecting the quality of my life. My physical, mental, physical and even spiritual well being were all affected.Vegucation Over Medication is not just for people who are interested in a plant based lifestyle. It's for anyone who's interested in living a fuller, more vibrant, healthier life. You can incorporate the tips and tools, and they are plentiful, as you feel comfortable. Reap the benefits and add more when you are ready. Or do like I did and dive in fully. Or any choice in between.Vegucation Over Medication is an amazing book for anyone interested in making a leap towards living a healthier, higher vibration life. Namaste.

Just finished & I love this book!
I watch Dr Bobby price on YouTube and Just got finished reading this entire book. Purchased March 30th 2025 and completed it today on April 11th 2025. There was a lot of info I knew about food in this book already but That’s just because I’m plant based myself and do research on the lifestyle however, I love how he included different people and research based studies and different artifacts of resources we can look up on our own that I didn’t even know. I also love the ending how he included what’s best for us as far as are vegetable or fruit smoothies more beneficial. I need another book by him asap!!! Love the content. 🙌🏼❤️

Life changing
This book is well written and provides all the information you need to start on a cleansing healthy lifestyle. Dr Price covers the dangers of GMO’s , dairy, meat, sugars, as well as pesticides and harmful chemicals used in our produce, vegetables, skin care, beauty products , and personal hygiene products.He covers the importance of detoxing our bodies to prepare it for receiving nutritional food and all the ways our bodies detox itself. But with our American diet our bodies get so weighed down with undigested foods that rot in our guts that it needs help detox. Dr Price explains the why of this and how to correct it.I have researched a lot on nutrition, but I have not found so much valuable information in one book!! Well worth reading and implementing into your life. One of his mottos that stands out to me is “ add before you subtract.” Just get started. Simple and doable . So glad Dr Price popped into my you tube feed!!

Terrific & To The Point Information!
Most health food books overwhelm you with a lot of facts and print and medical terminology; making them somewhat difficult to read and understand. Dr. Bobby Price's book is formatted in a clean, uncluttered style, making it easy to read through the topics. He doesn't use massive amounts of medical jargon, and when he does use medical terminology, he explains the terms. Also, I like that he includes personal experiences from his own life and from some of his patients to really bring home the point he is trying to make. I have read a lot of books about diet and health over the years and I can honestly state that if you are interested in this area, Vegucation Over Medication contains a wealth of information in an easy-to-read format that is well-worth the cost of the book.

Whats I liked: The book was easy to read and informative for a new plant based reader. He gives practical advice on living vegan and has a passion to persuade readers to make even small changes in their diet. I agree with him that our environment is toxic and the plant based diet is healthier and he covers this aspect well. The book was free to read through kindle unlimited.What I didn’t like: He is a pharmacist and toots his own horn often. I think he should be proud of his degree but I noticed that he repeatedly prefaced his credentials before preaching about the chemicals in our environment. Toward the end I realized the chapters read like individual essays and there was some repetitive content. The book left me depressed because of our ineffectual US system.My reservations are that he includes some non scientific practices with science facts as he studied with shamans. I hope he doesn’t mislead some. Plus, he included more religious overtones than I would normally read. He does push eating more raw and he doesn’t seem to like a lot of grains due to toxins.

I am a health coach after 40 years of working in our sick care system. Dr. Price has done an excellent job explaining the good, the bad and the ugly in simple terms. I will be using this book as a reference for my clients. YOU can heal yourself!!! Thank you Dr.Price’
