These are not retractable, and If I remember the UMR-1 is. Both are the 0.38 point size.

Q: Why are these no returnable?

Their the best pens on the market, I have used this for over 18 years and not once ever had a need to return them. Plus the ink flows smooth

Q: Is the ink waterproof?

Mine has never been wet. But it does not smudge
