It has solar charging capability, and where I live that can come in handy with hurricanes coming. This powerbank exceeded our expectations! First and foremost, the huge 38800mAh capacity lets me charge our phone multiple times, which is very helpful on long hikes and camping trips where power is hard to come by. My phone got charged at least six times before I had to charge the power bank again. It’s lightweight. In case of an emergency, the solar charging function is very helpful. It charges more slowly than USB (as expected), but it helps keep things charged when you're outside all day. Solar power is a good addition, but I wouldn't count on it as my main way to charge. The quality of the build is great. It looks and feels tough and durable, like it was made for being outside. It's nice that it's waterproof and doesn't collect dust, especially when I'm out in bad weather or near water. I also like that it has three output ports, which let me charge more than one device at once. This is great for trips with a group. Adding a Type-C port is a current touch that makes it work with newer electronics.The built-in LED flashlight is another great thing about it. Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is supposed to be a 38,800 mAh battery but it could only charge my completely turned off 5,000 mAhmoto g power - 2025 one time, and then to only about 30% during the next charge. I know. I did it before I took it hiking to see if it really was a 38,000 mAh battery. It isn't, by a long shot!Now I may not be a math wizard, but it seems that a 38,800 mAh battery should be able to charge a turned off 5,000 mAh battery at least 7 times (5,000 X 7 = 35,000), not just 1 1/3 times.
