The seller answered the filter is washable but the picture on the back of unit says' Forbid to wash in water??????

I believe the do not wash thing is for the unit. The filter can be washed and should be dry when reinstalling.

The only instructions are for direct wire. How is it installed and plugged in for home use?

It comes with a direct connection plug to the power, there is also an option to cut the plug and perform a hard wired installation
