Integration with Apple HomeKit via Matter works!!
I didn’t think I needed an air purifier; the last time I was around one is in the 80s, where my friend’s smoker father had one sitting by his living room chair. His air purifier was noisy and didn’t really do the job, so my past exposure wasn’t necessarily positive. Boy, have times changed…I have quite a few devices in the HomeKit ecosystem, and I’ve wanted to try adding a Matter device or two to see how well they played together, however I didn’t want any redundancies. This device was the first I’ve run across that intrigued me, so despite my initial misgivings, along with a really decent deal at the time of purchase, I took the plunge and placed the order.I’m really glad I did. It’s a solidly built, incredibly quiet device, with all sorts of options and controls that can either be controlled on-device or through their app. I recommend using the app, since the controls are more granular and it allows all of the lights on the air purifier to be turned off (on-device only lets you turn off the night light, but since I have the air purifier setup in my home theater the glowing green light on the front had to go). In addition the app reports air quality history, filter life, and energy consumption, while also being able to set automations and operational modes. It even has the option to order replacement filters through the app.The ability to pair into the HomeKit ecosystem is incredibly easy, actually easier than attaching some purpose-built HomeKit devices has been. The controls in HomeKit are sort of rudimentary; power control and setting automations are pretty much it, although it does seem to have the ability to pair with other accessories in order to trigger or be triggered based on air quality — I haven’t really looked into that, so I can’t be sure. And honestly, I have no idea what my air quality was like before I plugged this thing in; I could say that it’s been a huge improvement but that would be subjective, especially since it’s only been a short time and there’s too little data so far to back up that claim; time will tell. I did notice that the air quality spiked one day while my partner was cooking something, which leads me to believe that the air purifier sensed cauliflower and was grossed out about it, too. Fortunately it got right to work, and within no time the air quality reported nominal status. It wasn’t able to do anything about having to eat cauliflower though. The things one does for love, but I digress…I was able to purchase this air purifier for a great deal, which may or may not still be offered as this is being read. Would I have made the purchase if that deal hadn’t been offered? Perhaps. Would I purchase it again at full price? I’d say that knowing what I know now about it, and how it’s light years ahead of that old 80s air purifier, I believe that it’s going to be worth it in the long run, and if so then it would be a device worth buying.

‘We Love’ Our Welov!
Our family purchased this air purifier a couple weeks back and we have been very pleased with it!!Upon opening the device, it came packaged within a very smart and sleek box.The device was very simple to setup and had a streamlined process through the use of their AiDot app. This is not my first device within the AiDot ecosystem, and to be honest it was the primary reason I purchased this purifier! The app is just that awesome! Currently, I have almost 20 smart bulbs across my house, and the fact that I can easily control this purifier within the same app that I control my smart lighting and any other Matter-enabled devices is just plain fantastic. But this is not a review about smart lighting, its a review about the Welov air purifier! And ‘We love’ our ‘Welov!!My first thoughts upon using it were about just how QUIET the fan is! There are three fan speeds and unless you have very unclean air (50pm or higher), you will most likely be running on the lowest speed (which still moves plenty of air). When I first turned it on, it ran its sensor for a few seconds to get a good solid baseline of the purity of my air. We live in a rural area with lots of trees, and are far away from any active wildfires so naturally our air is ‘fairly’ clean receiving a rating of 23-25 pm. Yet within only 15 minutes of running on its lowest speed, the device had already cleaned our air to a rating of 1-3pm! Way faster than I expected!! Currently at the time of this review, it is Springtime and a lot of allergens/pollen are popping up. So the fact my family can sleep better and not have to breathe in all that stuff is just plain awesome!I have also attached some pictures of the apps interface if anyone is curious. You essentially have all of the buttons that are on the device itself but within the app. One feature I really love is that it has display/night light toggles that I can easily turn on and off. This is really useful as my wife hates having any lights on at night (even the tiniest ones). So no unhappy wife here! Finally, this purchase actually came at the right time as one of our family members recently had a newborn. Up until the birth of their child, their house was having some renovations done. Obviously there was a lot of dust and dirt being stirred up within their house. Thankfully construction ended before the baby arrived, yet it still left them with a very dusty house. So moving fast, we took this purifier over to their house and let them run it for a few days. Now there is no fear of their precious baby having to breathe in sheetrock and saw dust! Only clean air for their little clean lungs! :)So if you are in the market for an air purifier, I would highly recommend the Welov! It’s been a game changer for our family!

Difficult to add to HomeKit. Product functions as described.
Overall this product meets or exceeds the description. However it is best controlled by the manufacturer application, which is why it’s only 4 stars. Thus device can be added to HomeKit but on some occasions it is very difficult and you have to try several times. I eventually give up and wait a while and try again, sometimes it will add, most of the time not. It’s really frustrating when it randomly stops communicating with your hub and you have to remove it to add again.
