Works well
Works well. Softens Lester boots. Has a clean odor like a mix of outdoors and leather.Easy to apply with rag, then brush off with buffing brush. It WILL DARKEN leather. If you have tan boots they will form more like the brown when wet.Itâs a thin oily jelly product. Like a thin and oily gel ointment. Will revive old leather to look new. softens and makes water resistant.I like the new dark look but you should try before on something similar just to make sureBoots in pic were a light tan color. If you look at the color shown on inside of my boots that is about the color they were before applied. Pic taken only 2 hrs after application. I donât know if it will lighten over time yet.

Love this stuff
I recently treated two pair of leather boots with this. One pair is 16 years old. The other is probably 20 years old. With the older pair, Iâve always used just black boot polish (black leather Panama-sole jungle boots). The ânewerâ pair is what I use in the snow and have never treated them. It took two coats 24-hours apart but the boots look great! More importantly, the shoe grease impregnates the leather and it is well-treated. When water lands on the leather, to beads up and rolls off. Even after treating two pair of leather boots, I probably still have 80% of the product remaining. It doesnât take much and should last forever. Highly recommended. Oh, and the smell is fantastic. Even my wife liked the smell.

Restore leather, save money!
At the time of this review, I have used the same 7.5 oz can of Huberd's for more than 5 years, and I still have about a third of it left. I use it two pairs of leather boots (combat boot, and motorcycle boot) about once or twice a year - that's all they need. To use, simply put it in your oven on a low temperature to heat up the can. At this point the grease should be a liquid. Use a screwdriver or your fingers to open the lid, dip a latex gloved finger in the liquid, and apply onto the cleaned leather. Apply generously to the stitching or any seams (including sole seams). This stuff is so powerful it'll restore and waterproof any dry and nasty leather you can throw at it. I wouldn't use it on any furniture since it'll almost certainly darken it and make it greasy. But I would absolutely recommend it for any leather boot or any kind of thick or tough-wearing leather (slings, pouches, tack, maybe an old leather jacket). I have even used this product to reseal my pair of leaky motorcycle boots. I'm sure there is at least one pinhole leak in those boots but as long as I remain diligent and apply this grease once every six months, my feet stay completely dry, even in a downpour at 60 mph. Saves me $300+ on a new pair of motorcycle boots! Quality product, would buy again.

Restored my favorite boots
This is my first time trying a pine tar conditioner. I have used mink oil for years. I admit that I like the smell of milk oil better, but this stuff works wonders and a dab will do ya. It doesn't smell bad, it smells exactly like I smell after a prescribed fire in the woods: like a campfire. It definitely darkens leather, but my boots were black from walking through burned vegetation. I was worried I ruined nearly $300 boots... But look how nice the right one looks compared to the left one (which was already saddle soaped, btw).I think this will last me a very long time. I apply it to my leather field hats as well.

IT WORKS!!! đȘ GREAT QUALITY
This product has prevented my year old Ariat boots from allowing any water inside and I have walked through ankle deep water.Applied 3 heavy layers straight out of the box and even heavier on the sewing thread around the boot allowed to dry well over night between each applicationOnce the third layer dried I wore the boot for several days to break them in.This grease helped the boot break in much quicker and has prevented drying or cracking and gives a soft feel. Does darken the leather so that needs to be made aware of and that needs to be accepted ahead of time. It's a work boot ... who cares. Your feet will thank you đApply a reapplication every couple months after a good cleaning. Superb productWill never go without this again.Buy it, you'll be glad you did.

Amazing product.
This product is a must. After having cleaned the shoes with saddle soap and let them dry I poured a little bit of this shoe grease on a cloth and my office footwear were suddenly shinny like new. It is a grease so it feeds and protects the leather too from water keeping the shoes dry. It is very immediately efficient. On its online site, the company gives pieces of advice on how to use Huberd's leather oil for office shoes if you want more info. I just bought the grease and it works perfectly. This Huberd's grease brand I did not know is from Colorado and has been existed since 1921! What I can tell you is that it makes miracles...and not only on shoes. I tried it to restore old leather armchairs from the 60's and the leather is softer, shinier and fed. It is true that it seems no dry anymore. I thought this product penetrated very easily in the leather despite the Huberd's site recommends the Huberd's Saddle and Tack Conditioner for leather preservation. This 7.5 oz retro box contains only beewax, no animal fat. The can is white with blue inscritions and is easy to open. You will need a flat screwdriver though in order to lift the lid. The wax odor is not pleasant or unpleasant, but not disturbing. It is very economical because you do not need a lot to have a really fantastic result. I am very happy with this purchase, and happy to buy a Home made product from an American company.
