Old and Good
This one I bought to learn myself to install deadbolts. Because it's old model I think it could be too reliable for not so important doors as modern. I hope criminals forgot how it was destroy it?

No plastic inside this lock
Recently, my front door deadbolt lock broke. I was floored ! 5 years old. Made by Schlage no less. Never thought a Schlage lock would fail, but it did. Took it apart. Found PLASTIC parts inside it ! And that's what broke !!!!! So, bought this Kwikset. 1/2 the price of Schlage. No plastic parts inside it. I am very comfortable knowing that this lock will last a long time. Highly recommend.

Feels solid but rusted badly after a few months
This replaced a cheap bolt that broke after only a few weeks. This one is still going strong after 10 months, but the surface has corroded badly over winter. I have now used metal polish and protector to try to tidy it up, but the rust came back quickly - so not really suitable for exterior use.
