Just what I needed!
Not bad for the price! Looks very nice and perfect for storing my batteries and other tools, watch out when you open the lid, the hydraulic assist rods will fling it open like a catapult and with some force so hold on to it!

Good for what i need.
Using it for indoor use as a lockable foot locker. Not sure now it would hold up outside in the elements.

Worked out as planned.
Was just the right size for my extra gear to be stowed in my new truck. Good quality/price.

Adequate for Transport, But Not for Security
I knew from reviews of the same product from other sellers -- I'm convinced different sellers obtain similar looking products from the same factory - this product would be marginal in terms of quality. From those reviews, the listed weight and the $70 price point, I was not expecting a 4 or 5 star product. I was however hoping for a 3 star product. The product is very light weight (roughly 20 lbs) and one person can easily lift it. In terms of security, this is about one step up from the large plastic tool boxes the various tool makers offer to make tools portable. Those plastic boxes can be padlocked, but cutting away the plastic to which the locks are attached is relatively easy. Relative to the Garvee Truck took box, I believe the rivets holding on the exposed hinges on the rear can be popped off with a heavy screw driver or a pry bar. The sheet metal is very thin, and I wonder if the top could also be pried open. Oddly, all of the exterior corners have been coarsely ground down, presumably to remove any burrs, and have a rough texture. I do not see any large welds at the inside joint and I'm not sure how the joints are held together. If you apply force to the metal, the sheet metal does flex. I'm unable to measure the metal with a caliper, but I'm guessing the metal is about 1.6 mm or 1/16" thick. The texture on the inside of the box is smooth. On the positive side, the box arrived without major dents and the struts to open/close the box top work pretty well. Some of the competing products do not offer the struts. The included sheet metal trays are fairly nice. The lock may be better than some of the similar products, but again I wonder if the entire mechanism can be pried away from the box.Depending upon how well armed the thieves are, I believe it would take less than 30 minutes to gain entry with a destructive attack. Whether it would only take 5 minutes, I cannot say. I personally would not place good tools it this box in the back of a pickup truck and expect to leave the box unattended for more than a few minutes. My intention was to use the box inside of my garage, but I'm questioning how much incremental security the Garvee box offers. Depending upon your needs and circumstances, spending more money on a more heavy duty box may make sense.

Not too happy.
First delayed shipping and I’m prime. Then when it does arrive the lid is damaged and the latch is bent because of it and lid don’t stay down. Randomly pops open. Box was in great shape so it must have been sent damaged.
