Well,first - what exactly broken ???? The HDD connector on the motherboard ??? Or the ribbon cable ??? If the ribbon cable,you can try to locate it online,on Amazon itself. Otherwise,it depends on Acer support in your country.

I think you could definitely play Skyrim. I play Vanguard and I also play destiny 2 no problem. Awesome laptop
