Vitamin Energy Immune+ (Tango Orange flavor)I’m generally a morning person and just drink coffee for the taste. These are perfect for when I don’t have time or when it’s too hot outside for coffee.The first day I tried one, I drank it at around 8 AM, right after 2 cups of coffee. Bad idea. I was jittery by the afternoon.The next day, I only had 1 cup of coffee before taking the shot around 7 AM, which was fine because I had a big day ahead of me. I actually used it as sort of a pre-workout for a 6-mile run. Then I worked all day and had lots of energy for after school activities. I didn’t get jittery at all, and I slept like a baby.I felt awake and alert both days, without feeling wired. I was able to stay focused on busy days, and experienced consistent energy levels every day that I’ve taken one.Subsequently, I’ve just used them as needed. It’s definitely not something I feel like I have to have every day, but it’s a nice little boost whenever I need it.I was also really happy to find a product that’s made in the USA.Here are some of the things I really liked.Flavor: Day 1, I was hesitant to take big drinks, so I sipped it. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It’s tangy, but I could definitely detect the orange flavor. I was able to drink it in 2 swallows on the second day because I knew what to expect. There was an aftertaste, but it went away within minutes.Energy boost: I like that they are sugar free, so I didn’t experience a crash a couple of hours later. The energy burst felt really natural, not a surge as I have with other energy shots. And I’ve been really pleased that I seem to have energy all day, not just for a couple of hours.Energy source: I’m an avid coffee drinker, so my body is pretty used to caffeine, but I think by adding green tea extract, the energy boost felt more natural, and I didn’t experience a racing heart like I have with other energy drinks.Added benefits: I definitely don’t get enough vitamins and minerals from food (and I don’t take my vitamins consistently), so I like that these energy shots have added niacin, B Vitamins, and potassium.

I recently tried the Vitamin Energy Extra Strength Energy Drink Shots in Orange Burst, and I’m impressed! The orange flavor tastes good, though there’s a slight bitterness that lingers. It gives me a solid energy boost that lasts for hours without the crash, and I love that it's sugar and carb-free. The added vitamins and natural caffeine help me stay focused and energized throughout the day.

While the taste mostly resembled an Arnold Palmer with orange juice instead of lemonade, to me, it wasn't as awful as some other energy shots I've tried. I did notice a more "clean" feel to my energy levels through my day. I didn't feel shaky, or have a hard crash once it wore off. It's overall worth the money, and it arrived fast, without damage or issue. If energy is something you're trying to gain more of, definitely give this a try. It actually helped me avoid my afternoon crash.

I tend to have trouble focusing which can cause me to be less productive than I need to be, then I get behind, skip my gym workout or stay up too late trying to catch up, etc. Which is a downward cycle. I also have specific situations like where I have a long drive and don't want to make too many pit stops from drinking coffee, I don't want the acid in my stomache from coffee, where I'm buried in complex work like doing taxes and need to be super focused and productive, or even golfing where my mind tends to wander and I need to bear down on each shot. So I've tried 5 hour energy from time to time but I never got over their sickly sweet taste and I was never really sure they did anything so I would usually end up throwing the rest of them away.My friend recommended that I try Vitamin Energy and I can say so far, I like the taste much better, I feel much more of an effect so am more focused and awake for the whole day. This may be a coincidence but I also believe that the one I bought Vitamin C helped me stave off a cold I felt coming on last week.I don't know what the other people are complaining about, my maybe their package was damaged in shipment or they are 5 hour energy employees just sabotaging this brand but there is no comparison in taste. I would not recommend drinking the whole bottle in 1 shot the same way that very few people would chug a large Starbucks in 1 gulp. I drink a bit when I first wake up so that I am awake faster than waiting for coffee to kick in 30 minutes later, a bit more fmid morning, and the rest of the bottle in the early afternoon after lunch to avoid the lull. Caffeine lasts for 8 hours so I don't drink them after a certain time so that it won't interfere with my sleep. I feel I have stayed more awake, productive and even social until I go to bed. I have had no trouble sleeping and I feel better and less worried in general because I have checked off a lot more items on my to do list. So I will keep going with these and report back if anything changes. I'm going to try different ones like Focus and Mood next to see which is the best one for me. But it is handy to have the Vitamin C one around this winter in case I feel something coming on.
